Bakugou was wary about his surroundings and Shimura. His eyes didn't leave him out of his sight. Since he was walking behind him, it was easy for him to follow his every move. Shimura wasn't the only one he paid attention to. He was also keeping a close eye on Kirishima, who was walking right beside him. It wasn't that he thought Kirishima was suspicious or anything, rather he felt that Shimura was the suspicion one. He just wanted to make sure that nothing happened to Kirishima, which was an easy task, since all he did was just study his surroundings with his eyes.
Bakugou sighed. Maybe I'm worrying too much? He thought to himself, ruffling his hair as he groaned. Kirishima put his hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asked, almost making Bakugou jump when their eyes met.
Bakugou slid away from Kirishima's grip. "Yeah." He answered, his cheeks slightly rosy. Kirishima smiled in relief and started to quietly hum for himself. His voice was soothing. It was really soft and gentle, that's how Bakugou heard it as at least. Bakugou didn't mind him humming, rather he wanted him to keep on humming till they arrive. At this point, he had lost all focus on Shimura and focused more on Kirishima's humming.
It didn't take them long to arrive. It took them only a few minutes. They went through the woods, which was filled with both small and big trees. The big trees were big enough for a person to hide behind, yet it made the woods so narrow, and it was hard to find your way back. Kirishima's humming had stopped when they entered the woods. Now only their footsteps and the birds were heard. Bakugou's focus was back on Shimura.
"How don't you get lost in here?" Bakugou asked him, still suspicious. Shimura replies immediately, yet calmly.
"It took me a while to get used to it. I have to go through the woods if I want to make it to this village."
Bakugou didn't reply. He just kept quiet. His answer didn't help him to get less more suspicious. However, Kirishima on the other hand was not so suspicious of him, yet he was smart enough to understand that they should be careful.
And so, they had gotten out of the woods. "We're here." Shimura whispered, putting his index finger against his chapped lips, showing them to be quiet. Kirishima gulped, not that he was afraid or anything, but more like nervous. Bakugou on the other hand studied the cabin.
There was a small cabin some meters away from them. It had no window, only a door. The material it was build up with seemed dirty and old. "There was this night where I overheard a man talk about the missing girls in that cabin. It seemed like there were someone else with him." Shimura whispered to them as he leaned in closer.
"You mentioned that you there were some girls there?" Bakugou whispered back, staring into Shimura's eyes.
Shimura nodded. "That's what I thought."
"You thought?" Bakugou almost shouted, but reminded himself to stay quiet.
"Yes. I'm not quite sure if I actually saw a girl there, but I'm sure I heard a girl scream outside of that cabin." He told him, calm as ever. "After hearing her scream, I ran." He said at last.
Bakugou looked at Kirishima, to see what he thought through this facial expression. He couldn't figure out what the red hair was thinking, and just got looked back at, making him quickly look back at Shimura.
Bakugou sighed. "Alright. I'll go check inside." He told them both. Shimura smirked, which wasn't quite visible, because of the black mask he wore.
"Bakugou, I'll join." Kirishima said, confident that he would agree, yet his confidence sunk when Bakugou shock his head.
"I'll go alone. You two hide behind those bushes." Bakugou said, pointing at a bunch of bushes which could cover the two if they squatted. Shimura nodded and mouthed good luck to him before walking to the bushes.
