It's been a week since that visit Pitch had, and surprisingly it hasn't happened again yet, you still haven't felt any pain or threw up and surprisingly you actually wanted too since you've been really wanting a family, you started your own missions about 4 days ago and it's been pretty fun, Jack went back to getting tired easily again which really sucks since you weren't able to hang out with him lately, you were in the Centre sitting on the floor leaning against the wall when you sighed
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing" you replied with your eyes close
"Are you stressed?"
"Not really" you answered
"Upset?"
"You could say that.." You said softly hugging your knees
"Is it because of me?"
"Huh?" You looked up and saw Jack gripping his staff leaning against the wall looking completely worried and upset
"No! It's not because of you!" You shouted jumping up
"Then why are you upset?" He asked softly putting on his hoodie when you immediately slipped it off
"No no! Don't do that! every time you put on your hoodie it means you're upset and if you get upset, you're gonna get me upset and the next thing you know we are both upset" you replied waving your hands in motion form as you talked while he stared at you silently confused
"..okay?.." He said weirdly
"Anyways... No it's not because of you, Lovable" you said calmimg down when you hugged him
"I missed you though" you replied when he hugged you back
"I told you that you can still hang out with me no matter how tired I am" he replied
"I hate seeing you tired and i'm there making excuses to keep you awake" you replied breaking the hug when he sighed
"Don't change the subject on me, why are you upset?" He asked making you look down
"Our first try failed.." You said softly when he stayed silent
"Not everything happens on the first try.." He replied
"I knowwww I just really want a family" you whined
"We can always try again in the future when I am fully ready" he replied
"I want you to be fully ready but that'll be too long" you sighed
"I'm sorry if i'm not good enough" he replied making you look at him
"What? I never said that! I love you and you are good enough I just don't have patience, i'm sorry!" You said hugging him tightly when he stayed silent
"I think i'm just gonna head to bed now.." He said breaking the hug as he turned to leave
"But-"
"Goodnight y/n" he said leaving
"Goodnight.." You replied leaning back against the wall and slid down to the floor in the same position as before
After a couple minutes you got up and headed down the hall toward your room when you heard North in Jack's room but didn't want to intervene so instead you walked right past heading straight to yours
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?"
"Because I don't want to break the news.."
"You're gonna have to tell them"
"I know.."
"Especially y/n"
"I know..."
"Either you tell them or I will"
You stopped dead in your tracks when you heard your name
"How long will you be gone?"
"Three years.."
"That long?"
"Yeah, I've been wanting to go now since I met Jamie, even he knew"
"So Jamie knew but not y/n?"
"Unfortunately.."
Who's leaving? North? Jack? I'm so confused, we need North, and I can't let Jack leave, what if it is Jack, I can't wait three years?! You thought when you started heading back to your room
After awhile you were pacing around your room in thought when there was a knock on the door
"Come in" you replied still pacing when North walked in
"Hey y/n you okay? Why are you pacing?" North asked when you stopped
"Oh, just in thought" you said nervously with a little laughter
"I have something for you" he replied turning on his side and holding his arm out towards the door when Jack trailed in
"Huh? You're gonna give me Jack? That's so thoughtful" you replied hugging Jack when he stayed silent
"Uh no, y/n, Jack has to tell you something" North answered scratching the back of his neck nervously
"Are you breaking up with me?" You asked breaking the hug
"WHAT?! NO! NOT NOW- I MEAN-" Jack immediately shouted when he gave up due to not knowing how to answer
"So you're not breaking up with me?" You asked
"No, no one is breaking up with anyone.." he said softly calming down rubbing the bridge of his nose
"Oh, okay, good" you sighed in relief
"I'll just leave you two to talk" North replied leaving when he closed the door leaving you two alone..
