Meeting The Child & The Monk

Finally, I made it into one of the city of mortals...It is nice to see a tiny village up. Walking inside I smile to myself seeing how the village is small but holds many mortals around. Adults paying and buying food, children running around with giggles, entertainment all around, music, laughter, delicious food. For now, I'm only looking for any kind of food. I may be immortal but I still get hungry time to time

I smile to myself seeing how in the ground...its not so bad than I thought it would be. Interacting and talking with humans are so interesting. A few who can be bubbly than a bird, the other, grumpy than a stubborn boer.

At first, I was not indeed interested being on the ground and staying angry at myself for so long...maybe I should let go and start a new and act as a human mortal even tho I'm immortal and cannot be able to age...

Walking around the village, I still continue to see many people walking by past me and hearing children's giggles.

'This ain't so bad than I thought it would be...'

Before I knew it, feeling a dump at the side of my leg as it was hard enough to fall back

"Hm?" Looking down, I see a small child wearing blue light clothing and white socks with black shoes

"I-im sorry ma'am!" The boy said up to me as he stands up, bows and leaves running away

'What a strange child...reminds me of the time of the water fall...but who knows. He must be wanting to become a monk recognizing his clothing...'

I thought to myself until I step forward, feeling something hard by soft object under my shoe. Looking down as I lift up my leg, it was the toy of Sun Wukong! But...how? That's impossible! I can only remember the last time I've seen that toy...wait....does that mean...

Leaning forward picking up the toy in my hands and standing straight, looking over the sea of people walking around trying to find that kid who bumped into me

'That must be the child from the waterfall...how is he still alive? Where is his caretaker?' I ask myself

After searching around the village and seeking for the child but with no luck, I couldn't find him anywhere

Walking out of the village sighing...maybe i might of missed him, I should head back..before I was about too, I hear voices coming outside the village

Running towards the voices up to seeing a small stone bridged, it was the child! And recognizing the man in front of him, it's the monk! Thank you Buddha...

Smiling towards them, I clear my throat loud enough for both to hear. Both the monk and the child turn their heads to look at me, I smile shyly acting as if I'm a simple mortal looking around..

"Hello...i may have came into a bad time but....i have something he might of dropped inside the village.." I say taking out the doll behind my back pocket, showing both the monk and the child the toy. The child sprung in joy running towards me and taking the toy off my hands

"Oh my goodness--thank you!! I was worried!" He says seeing his eyes shine twinkle of pure excitement seeing his old pal in his arms. I smile seeing the adorable scene

"Now Liuer, what do we say?" The monk ask the child, the child name Liuer looks up clapping his hands together and bows

"Thank you very much Ms.." He says as he stands up straight

"Yes...thank you very much for returning my boy's toy back.." the monk said bowing as well, up at the jade palace I never did like the introduction of people bowing to me as if I'm royalty

I smile shaking my head

"Its a pleasure returning the toy to his rightful owner..." I say, looking down at both the monk and child. Both seemed poor and have nowhere to live...i know I shouldn't interfere into a mortals life and help them whatever they need but...both the monk and the child made me feel, sorta human

"Um...if I may ask..do both of you have anywhere to live?" I ask, the monk shakes his head

"No Ma'am, we are only travelers who wish to not involve into violence. As you know, we are monks" he says, I nod

"I see, but you both seem very tired and out of life...may you both be interested in food and a resting bed place?" I ask, I did set up a small tent somewhere under a bridge but, it's enough for them to rest in

"What? No no ma'am, we do not wish to intrude on your personal home!" The monk said but before he can dismiss my offer, the child look up at him with a bright smile

"Shifu! We can finally sleep in soft cozy beds and not on rocks or leafs that will get us itchy!" He said happily, I smile at the monk shaking my head

"Please, it's the best I can do for the both of you. You must be tired from your travels and wish to lay and rest for tonight without any horrible interruptions" I say smiling both at the monk and child. The monk thinks about it at the first 2 minute but shruggs his shoulders

"If you wish to let us in your home...it would be a honor...thank you very much Ms..."

"Oh please, Call me Alya"

"Alya..? You mean...the spirit of mischevious and illusion??" Liuer ask shockingly, feeling my blood pressure go up, I shake my head fearfully

"N-no! No no no! You have it wrong! You see...thats just my real name before my mother...left me...yeah" I say running my arms awkwardly knowing I have no family

"We see...we are truly sorry for that. "

"Its alright...now, do you wish to lead me to tour beds?" I ask happily as both humans nodded gratefully as I lead both monks to my small hidding place. This is the least I can do to help them rest while they continue their journey.
