I woke up and again, Zayn was gone.

There was no telling if he had been there or not.

I rolled over, immediately hit by a headache as I stood on my feet.

Stumbling into the bathroom, I did my business and came back out with a fluffy towel wrapped around me.

I walked into my closet and gathered my outfit for the day,

Before walking back out and dropping everything.

I shrieked loudly, holding my towel tighter against my body as I stared at the person on my bed.

Zayn laid there, his back against the headboard and his arms crossed behind his head.

His muscles bulged out as his arms flexed, making him look drool-worthy.

His clothes had changed, meaning that he went home.

He stared at me, looking unaffected by my reaction.

He didn't say anything, just kept staring at me with his cold, emotionless eyes.

"What're you doing here so early?" I asked, carefully bending down to pick up my clothes.

He just shrugged, closing his eyes.

"How did you get in?" I continued, curious.

He shrugged carelessly again, placing his arm over his face.

I walked into the bathroom and let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

I locked the door and looked at myself in the mirror for a while.

Quickly changing into my black skater skirt, black and white vans and a leather jacket,

I stepped back outside.

Zayn was in the same position, only this time he was looking at something on his phone.

He looked up at me and turned his phone off, putting it away as he stood up.

Walking over to me, his cold eyes never left mine as he approached.

He stopped a distance away from me and opened his arms.

I wasted no time in embracing him, burying my face in his chest.

My nose was invaded by his cologne, instantly calming me.

He pulled back slightly and looked down at me. There was still no emotion on his face.

Leaning down, he placed his lips on mine.

It fit perfectly against mine and just like the first time, my heart fluttered uncontrollably.

He kissed me slowly, placing his hands at the back of my neck as he deepened the kiss.

I kissed him back, wanting more but he pulled away and stared down at me.

I panted, obviously breathless while his breathing never changed.

"You talk in your sleep." He said seriously and I covered my cheeks as I felt the blush rising.

I looked down and his finger slid under my chin, lifting my head back up.

He stared at me for a while. His gaze burning into mine.

Then he smiled slightly. He kissed my forehead and pulled away, his face going back to its usual state.

"Let's go." He said, grabbing my hand and picking up my bag that was laying on the floor.

He pulled me downstairs where a grinning Dale was.

Dale looked at me and winked before wiggling his eyebrows.

'Mrs. Lucifer Ryder.' He mouthed

'Fuck you' I mouthed back before being pulled outside.

Zayn's jeep was in the driveway. He opened the door for me and I mumbled a small 'thank you' as I sat.

He came around and got in, starting the car. He was about to reverse when something caught his eyes.

I followed his gaze to his chain that hung around my neck.

"Take all my jewelry, why don't you." He said sarcastically, rolling his bright eyes.

"You gave it to me!" I exclaimed as he started driving.

"Don't remember." He stated, obviously lying.

"I hate you." I mumbled, looking out the window.

"Sure you do." He said, resting his hand on my thigh.

It wasn't in a weird way.

If anything, it felt comfortable.

That didn't stop my heart from doing backflips in my chest.

I stared out the window and blushed all the way to school.

When he pulled into the gates and stopped, he didn't turn the engine off.

"You're not coming in, are you?" I asked, turning to face him.

He leaned in until his face was mere centimeters away from mine.

"Can't." He said, his minty breath hitting my face.

"Why not?" I asked, frowning.

"You distracted me yesterday. I have work to do." He stated, licking his lips.

"Work as in killing more people, I suppose." I sighed, looking away briefly.

"Yes." He admitted.

"Please d-" He cut me off by pecking my lips.

"I'll see you later." He said, leaning back in his seat.

Sighing, I grabbed my bag and got out, closing the door and walking toward the school.

As I walked through the parking lot, tires screeched and his car pulled out of the school gates.

When I entered the doors of the school, I closed my eyes and breathe out slowly.

This is going to be a long day.

As I walked to my locker, Jordan approached me and smiled.

I returned it, giving him a short side hug as we walked to class together.

"How come you weren't at the rest of your classes yesterday?" He asked, looking at me as we sat.

"I felt sick." I lied, looking down at my book.

I couldn't look people in the eye while I lied to them. That's a known fact about me.

"Well, I hope you're feeling better now." He smiled.

"I do." I replied, sighing as the guilt from lying built up slowly.

Then remembered what Zayn said and chills ran down my spine.

The words rang in my head, stuck on replay as I looked back up at Jordan.

"You don't know him." Zayn's voice said.
