Megan sat quietly with her cup of D'usse, watching as the "man" who was unfortunately her brother flirted with some woman. It had always bothered her being around Trey especially since - well, let's just say they never really got along.

Tonight was even worse. She had come out to celebrate their brother, Forrest's birthday and she had managed to go the whole day avoiding Tremaine. But Megan couldn't ignore her, of course he brought her there. They were exclusive. They always had been and probably always will be.

She couldn't understand Tremaine though. She knew their relationship had never been the best. He felt like there was a constant competition between them. With music, school and apparently women.

See, Megan was getting ahead of herself.

It all started Megan's senior year of Highschool. Someway, somehow, her older brother found out about her crush. Prior to that, she pissed him off by embarrassing him and beating him at basketball in front of his friends.

His payback? Well..

Megan bit her lip shyly as she rocked back and forth on her tippy toes, she was soaking wet due the rain pouring down. Water dripping from Megan's jeans onto Normani's porch as she waited, tonight was the night.

She wasn't exactly sure on what she'd say but she tried her hardest to think and had faith she'd get it together by the time Normani was face to face with her.

Like clockwork, the door swung open and Megan was greeted with a smiling Normani.

"Hey.."

"Hey Meg, I'm glad you came." Normani mumbled as she closed her house door and came fully onto the porch. "I wanted to ask you something."

Megan raised an eyebrow, clearly interested in what Normani had to ask. So she let her go first.

"What is it?" Megan's voice laced with concern as she leaned against the porch railing.

"I wanted to ask you.. how would you feel if Trey took me out."

Megan's mouth slowly opened then immediately closed, she was more than confused on where this was coming from. Since when did Normani like Tremaine? Had she always and she was just oblivious?

"He asked me out earlier. I wanted to ask you first. You're my best friend and he's your brother."
Normani explained, looking up at Megan with hope. "Would you have a problem with it, any problem?"

"Nah." Megan replied with quickness, she couldn't let herself seem bothered. Obviously Normani was interested if she asked for her blessing. Megan couldn't compete with that nor would she try to.

"I hope you guys have fun." She smiled. "But uh, I just remembered, I gotta go do homework and it's due soon. I'm gonna call you later."

"It's raining." Normani grabbed for Megan's arm only for Megan to snatch it away. "Sorry. I just wanted to know if you wanted a ride."

"I'm good." Megan assured, turning on her heel and scurrying off of the porch of Normani's home.

"Megan!" She could hear Normani call for her but she didn't care.

This was a "I wanna be alone while Marvins Room played in the background type of night."

"Megan!"

"Megan!"

"Megan?"

"Huh?" Megan replied, shaking her head as she was knocked out of her daze. Low & behold, Normani stood in front of her. Still as beautiful as she could remember, even more beautiful.
