Audrey was looking at them both confused.. she hid behind her mom. she was hesitant. She never had a father before and an unknown man showed up in front of her saying he was her father.. Rebecca turned around and looked at her, put her in her arms..

"What's the matter, darling?" she asked her calmly

"Is he my dad?" she asked quite so that Colby wouldn't hear it

"Yes.. didn't you want me to find him?" she asked her

"Yes" said the little girl

"You don't want to talk to him?"Rebecca asked calmly

"No" she shook her head

"Why?" she asked her strange

"I'm afraid" she said and Rebecca stroked her cheek

"Why are you afraid?" she asked her

"I don't know him," she told her with innocence..she smiled at her

"He's good and he loves you," she said to her tenderly..

"Really?"ask the little girl with eyes that glowed with joy

"Really.. what do you think? do you want to give him a chance?"Rebecca asked her with a tender smile and the little girl nodded Rebecca got off the couch.. Behind her was Audrey.. Colby looked and smiled at her. she gave him a shy smile..Becky got close to Manuel and Ashley

"Let's go to the kitchen.. they have to be alone for a while, " she told them softly

"But why? I want to see what happens" Ashley complain and Rebecca looked at her

"Let's go Ashley," Manuel told her, and she had no choice but to obey..

They were left alone in the living room...

Colby's Pov

The kid seemed scared of me when I told her I was her father she hid behind Rebecca.. She turned around and looked at her.. they spoke. I pretended not to hear.. it was a wonderful relationship Rebecca had with our daughter. Me and Ashley and Manuel pretended not to listen the talk between them. In the end the little girl was convinced to give me a opportunity. Rebecca got up off the couch and took Manuel and Ashley in the kitchen. She wanted to give me some space with my daughter.. For the first time in my life I got so nervous.. In my first trial, I wasn't so nervous.. And this once it looked like a trial only this time I was the defendant and my daughter the strictest judge who would ask me her questions and she would was the one that making the decision. Audrey was, the audience that would decide and the a judge who would make the verdict. And that was exactly the only trial that I cared about winning.. So I can win a place in my daughter's heart.A place in her life..

I looked at her smiling, She crawled on the couch and She came up to me.with look.. she didn't say anything.she got up on her feet and got up on mine. her little hands hugged my neck. I never remember being more emotional in my life. My heart it was beating fast. I hugged her tight while I let a few tears run.. Fleeting I saw Rebecca staring at us while she wiped a tear from her eye. I kissed my daughter's head and looked at her..

"Are you my dad?" she asked after a while, I put her on my arms

"Yeah, I'm your dad," I told her easy

"Can.. can I ask you a question?" she told me reluctantly

"Of course, honey, anything you want" I smiled at her

"Why don't we stay together? I'm a bad girl and I'm making trouble?" she asked shy. I smiled and looked at her

"What do you say, baby girl? you're the nicest kid in the world," I told her caressing her hair

"Then why aren't you with me and mom?" she asked me quietly

"I had to work to make money so you could grow up to be beautiful like you are now," I told her easy.. I didn't know what else to say to her.. lack I could tell a child that I was now learning of her existence

"So it's not my fault ?" she asked and she looked at me.. Those baby eyes they could tear me to pieces. I regretted every damn moment I left Rebecca alone

"Of course not, Honey" I told her and she smiled a little more

"Do you love me?" she asked anxiously

"Of course I love you, Audrey. you're my princess.. I was the first person after your mom hugged you when you were born," I told her, she smiled more

"Was I Beautiful Like Mom?" she asked me smiling

"You were the smallest and most beautiful little girl I ever saw. and you're still the prettier " I smiled..

"And now you're leaving again ?" she asked me a few minutes later.. I looked at her

"No.. I'll never leave your side again.. you and mom are my life" I smiled and she hugged me as tight as she could

"Daddy" was all she could say..

I hugged her as gently and as tightly as possible..Yes, I told her the truth..

I didn't care about anything more than making up for lost time with my daughter. I had decided never to come back in New York. I'd stay here. where I was born where I fell in love where my family was. My parents, my wife that I have so passionately loved and my daughter. My daughter.. this little girl who made my heart melt even though I only knew her for a few minutes.

That girl I already loved. Rebecca entered the living room and look at us..she come closer and sit next to me.. she put her head on my shoulder stroking Audrey's back.. a sigh of relief escaped from her lips.

Rebecca's Pov

Manuel and Ashley went to the kitchen.. I stood without being seen behind the living room door. I heard all their talk. It was so tender. Neither of us could tell a little kid the whole truth, so telling her he was away for business was the best thing. Audrey reacted better than I expected. She asked him questions too he was very gentle with her. A side of him that I'd forgotten existed, or I guess I'd convinced myself I'd forgotten about it. It was this side of him that he made me fall in love with him so much. When I saw them hugging I felt my heart melting. tears came up in my eyes that barely holding. I didn't want to spoil their moment, but I didn't want to miss it either. I walked to the living room and sat next to him. I put my head on his shoulder caressing my daughter's back,sighing with relief. my eyes met his own while Audrey wouldn't let him out of her arms

"It went better than I thought," he said, smiling

"Yes. she already loved you " I smiled and point at her with my eyes

"She'll be daddy's little girl." he smiled with pride..

"So it seems" I agreed with him smiling

"Are you feeling better?"he asked me and caressed my shoulder

"Relieved.. you"?"I asked him

"Happy" answered me. and I could see it in his eyes..

I smiled I was ready to answer when Ashley cut us off

"Hey, happy family, are you staying for dinner with us?"he asked laughing

"Mmm yeah why not" I answered her laughing

"I'm in, too," Colby said

"Audrey ? should we stay with dad and have lunch with godmother and godfather?"

I asked and he looked at me

"Yes" she said happy..

"Nice. you men will play with Audrey and we will make the lunch" she told them and she picked me up in a hurry to get into the kitchen.. She looked at me and I knew very well what that look meant and what it would follow when we will preparing lunch

So here is the chapter.. Audrey loved her father and Colby loved her too.. But whats next for them? what happend whne Dean finds out that Rebecca told Colby the truth? And what about Tonny? Till tomorrow that i update the story kisses! Vote and comment let me know what you think about it!
