"Do you trust me?" Normani asked, smiling widely though her girlfriend couldn't see her. Megan raised an eyebrow at the question, of course she trusted Normani but she wasn't sure if she trusted this, she was blindfolded after all.
"Have I made you mad recently?" Megan queried, this could have all been a plan to kill her. She's watched countless episodes of how the "loving girlfriend" snapped. She didn't want to fall victim to that.
"I think I'm offended." Normani chuckled which made Megan do the same. "I'm not trying to kill you plus I could never take you."
"Which is why you could be blindfolding me just to hit me over the head with something."
"Thanks for the thought."
"Not helping, babe."
"I'm kiddinggg." Normani laughed, dragging the word out as she took ahold of Megan's hand. She squeezed a little to reassure Megan that this wasn't a plan to end her. "Trust me."
"I do." Megan promised, earning a kiss onto her lips. She couldn't help but smile which ruined the kiss but Normani found it adorable. "You taste like strawberry."
"Your favorite."
Megan grinned and though she couldn't see her girlfriend, she knew that Normani was doing the same. "It's only my favorite if it's on you."
"Smooth bighead." Normani teased before sighing. She was hoping Megan would like this.
They had been together for six months and Megan's managed to make everyday special, it was Normani's turn to make today special.
"Just let me lead you, okay?"
"Okay."
Megan held onto Normani's hand and let her lead the way to this "secret" destination. It was truly only a minute but it felt like ten to Megan.
"Are we there yet?" Megan asked in a child like manner which earned her a playful sigh from her girlfriend.
"Yes baby, let me take it off."
"I will never oppose to you taking anything off." Megan smirked and Normani rolled her eyes before walking behind Megan to slowly untie the red blindfold.
Megan blinked a few times to adjust to the light before focusing her eyes completely on the scenery. She found herself awing out loud as her eyes focused on the rose petals then the heart shaped candles.
"Incredibly cliche, I know but-"
"It's perfect, Mani. The fact that you'd go the extra mile for me and I'm still unsure why, it means a lot."
"I got you a gift."
"A gift?"
Normani nodded which led to Megan noticing the red gift bag in her hand. Normani offered it to her and Megan took it hesitantly, this could still be a set up...
"Open it, punk."
Megan gave her an eye roll before pulling a black box out of the bag. "Girl you proposing?"
"You wish."
They both shared a laugh before Megan actually opened the box up.
"Mani-"
"Open it." Normani urged, this time she was referring to the gift itself.
Megan studied the heart shaped locket before she finally opened it. Her eyes became misty as she stared at the picture of a younger her and her mother.
"Mani..." She couldn't find words, it was the most thoughtful gift and she loved it more than anything. She couldn't believe someone would go out of their way for her like this for no special occasion.
