His mother was killed while he was left with his father. His father didn't blame himself for the reckless driving. He became heavily depressed and drank lot. He one night decided to end it. He put Hoshi in the car and drove to get into a cat crash, intending to kill them both. Hoshi was injured but survived but his father didnt. So he was sent to the local orphanage until he was an adult . He was able to do whatever he wanted because the orphanage he lived at neglected him. He was often bullied for being so small and feminine (especially in his teen years) Looks:
