I was sitting right beside the door on a Friday night at 11:45 in the night. Things were getting out of hand now. I'll have to talk to mom. She has never been this late. Never ever and it was scaring me now.

It was 1am when I saw a car arrive at our door. I quickly went out and saw a man getting out of the driver seat. He is mom's PA.

"Kane!", I walked towards him as he got my mom out of the backseat of the car. Full drunk and wasted.

"I'm sorry Sia. She won't listen to me and she drank more than her capacity. I don't know what was wrong, she has never done this before."

I nodded and brought her on my shoulder from his.

"Thankyou Kane. I'll take care from here."

He nodded and went back to his car as I moved towards my house. I walked to the sofa and made her lay on it. I sat beside her legs and got the shoes out of her feet.

"What is this mom? Don't you have any sense of your capacity? You shouldn't drink when you can't hold it. And what about me? What if I had slept?"

I knew she wasn't listening to me. She had her hands raised up in the air and was staring at her hands.

"Your father is getting married."

I looked at her wide eyed. She was drunk and saying shit. Obviously.

"Mom, you should sleep."

"He called me today. He is getting married to some bimbo. Said she is more considerate than me, that she will take good care of him!"

Tears rolled down from her eyes to the side of her face and landed on the cushion she was lying on.

She looked at me with sad eyes and held my hand.

"Everyone left me. My parents, your father, your sister, everyone. You will leave me too. I'm...I'm all alone."

"I'm not going anywhere mom. You need to rest right now and become sober."

I brought the blanket from her room and put it over her. I don't know what happened and what I was supposed to do right now, but she must be having a real heart break right now.

"Good night mom."

She held my hand and brushed her thumb over my knuckles.

"I live you."

I giggled at her tongue slip and squeezed her hands before dimming the lights and going to my room.

As soon as I reached my bed, I took out my phone and called the number which was long not touched and seen.

"Sia? Why are you calling this late? Is everything alright? Are you ok!?"

I sighed and clenched my jaw.

"What the fuck dad!"

There was silence on the other end and then he finally spoke up after a long breath.

"I will surely discuss this with you darling. But don't you think this is a very inconvenient time for this?"

"I just got to know about this decisions of yours. Cause mom came home drunk like never before."

"Sia-"

"And you know who that is because of?"

"Listen to m-"

"You! It's because of you!"

"Sia you are overreacting."

"I AM OVERREACTING!? First you leave us and then you decide to get married and tell mom just two days after your marriage anniversary!"
