A car horn outside sounded, signaling that their transport had arrived.

"That's them," he confirmed. He stood up finally and tilted her chin up, placing a lingering kiss on her lips. He then grabbed both his backpack and his daughter, securing the house behind them as they exited.

Together they walked outside to the waiting pearl white luxury SUV sitting in the driveway. A smiling blonde waved at them from the driver's seat as they approached.

"Hey hyung, Rose!" Jungkook greeted as he placed Hyori into the backseat and began securing her in place.

Both Taehyung and Rose turned around in their seats to greet the couple, with Rose propping herself up to peer into the car seat.

"Aww! She's so pretty!" Rose gushed. "Look at her little chubby cheeks!"

This time Hyun-Ji's smile was genuine. "Thank you! I think she gets her cuteness from him."

Jungkook blushed at her unexpected compliment. "No, she gets it from you."

"I agree," Rose chimed in. "She definitely has Jungkook's eyes, but everything else is all you, Ji."

"What about me? I'm cute!" Taehyung pouted.

Rose turned to him and smushed his cheeks with one hand. "You are the cutest!" She said, kissing his puckered lips and earning from him the deepest pitched giggle in existence.

Jungkook made a sound similar to a dry heave.

The conversation was boisterous during the ride to the airport thanks to Rose and Taehyung's light-hearted, old married couple banter. Hyun-Ji had almost forgotten that Jungkook was mere minutes away from leaving until the SUV smoothly pulled into an open space in the departure area.

Three of the four adults climbed out, with Jungkook momentarily lingering behind.

"I'll be back soon, Angel. Be good for mommy," he said, kissing her sleeping face.

Outside, Hyun-Ji handed him his backpack, which he then swung straight up and over his head to put on. He pulled her into an embrace and buried his face into the curve of her neck, placing several kisses on her skin.

"I'll be back soon, Princess. Two nights tops. Hopefully just one."

Hyun-Ji mustered a smile and nodded.

He took her face in his hands and studied her. "Are you ok?" He asked softly.

She breathed out a laugh. "Go, Jungkook. I'm ok."

"I love you," he said.

"I love you more."

"Impossible." He cut off her rebuttal with a kiss.

Not caring who could be watching, she parted her lips to let him deepen their kiss, savoring him as much as she could before he departed. He was still in front of her, still in her embrace, yet she already missed him, a feeling that she was sure wouldn't subside until he returned.
