HAWKINS BLEEDING! CHAPTER THIRTEEN:
ZOMBIE BOY

The next day, Stepheneie woke up and did her usual routine and left with Steve, and they picked up Nancy on the way since she needed a ride. Once they got to school Nancy looked over Steve's essay.
"It's crap, I know." Steve said as Stephenie sat in the back of his car, Nancy in the front looking over his paper

"No, it's not crap."

"It's not good."

"It's going to be-Just... It needs some reorganizing." Nancy sighed "Can I mark on it?" Nancy asked

"Yeah, I guess"

"So, in the first paragraph, you used the basketball game versus Northern as a metaphor for your life, which is great. But then, around here, you start talking about your granddad's experiences in the war." She explained "And I... I don't see how they're connected."

"It connects because... because, you know, we both won." Steve said, and saw the expression in Nancy's face "Do you think I should start from scratch?" He asked

"No. I mean... When's the deadline?"

"It's tomorrow for early application. Can you come and help me tonight?"

"We have our dinner tonight, remember?"

Stephenies eyes widened— as she remembered they were having dinner with Barbs parents tonight.

"Oh, my God!"

"We already canceled last week."

"You don't have to go. Just work on this." Nancy said

"No, no, no. What's the point?"

"Hey, calm down."

"I'm calm, I'm calm. I'm just being honest. You know, I mean-I'll end up working for my dad anyway." Steve said and Stephenie frowned

"That's not true."

"I don't know, Nance. Is that such a bad thing? There's insurance and benefits and all that adult stuff. And if I took it, you know, I could be around for your senior year."

"Yeah, and probably mine too" Stephenie added cheekily

"Why are you still in here peanut gallery?" Steve turned around and shoved Stephenie towards her door "go to class"

"Okay, okay" Stephenie giggled on her way out of the car "and I'd say pick a more realistic metaphor of your life, like a pig chasing a carrot on a stick"

"Stephenie Harrington!" Steve exclaimed

"Okay I'm done" Stephenie laughed "bye" She shut the door and made her way across the parking lot, but not before a she heard a car pull up loudly, blasting 'Rock You Like a Hurricane'

Stephenie turned towards the loud noise and saw a Blue Camero park in the highschool lot. a red haired girl came from the passenger seat with who Stephenie assumed to be a brother or something. Stephenie sighed and made her way into the Middle school.
