A few days passed and everything was going quite smoothly for Mike and Chloe. There were no problems and everyone was happy. But Chloe thought that she should check over at her house soon, maybe her parents had left.

Chloe mentioned to Mike earlier that day that she wanted to go back to her house the next day. Though Mike didn't want her to go by herself Chloe insisted that she go by herself. If anyone could deal with her parents, it was her.

Mike let her take his car, he said if she needed to leave quickly, she could. So Chloe was on her way to her house. She was nervous, to say the least, but who wouldn't be in her situation? Sometimes even Chloe herself wasn't sure what her parents could or would do.

But finally, she arrived at her small house and there was no car in the driveway and since their garage was broken, they couldn't have parked it inside. Chloe sighed with relief and parked the car in her driveway and got out and started walking towards the front door. She grabbed her house key from her back pocket and put it in the keyhole, twisting it so the door would open.

When the doorknob was unlocked, she twisted it and pushed the door open. The house was dark and empty, just as she had left it, there was still dust on the tables and chairs. She wondered when her parents had left. Chloe walked through the house, looking for anything that might have changed in her time away from the house.

When she walked into the kitchen she saw a note on the counter. Furrowing her eyebrows she walked closer to it. When she was close enough to it, she picked it up off the marble counter and held it out in front of her.

Her eyes read through it quickly and soon she was reading it over and over.

We're leaving on Tuesday morning and you're coming with us. Be here by 7 AM, no sooner, no later. Don't show up? We will find you.

El was at the diner, taking an older couple's order. They were a couple that had been coming in ever since El started working there. She practically knew their order by heart, they were such a cute couple, El wished that one day she could be like them too.

When she finished taking their order she turned around to go back to the kitchen. She wasn't in a rush, today was slow for a Saturday morning. She went back to the kitchen to start cooking their order, she heard the front doorbell ring and decided she would go back to the counter when she was finished in the kitchen.

She put the toast inside the toaster and started cooking the eggs on the stove. Then out of nowhere, someone burst through the kitchen doors. El quickly turned her head to see what was going on and saw Mike standing in the doorway, looking very out of breath.

"Mike? What's going on?" she asked, El walked towards him, "Chloe, she- her parents, leaving... she has to go with and-"

"Mike, slow down. It's okay." Mike shook his head and tried to speak again, "Chloe, she went to her house this morning to see if her parents left. They left her a note that said they'd be leaving tomorrow morning and Chloe had to go with them and if she didn't show up they'd try and find her."

El gaped at him, "You're serious?" She asked, "Yes! But El... I don't want her to leave, I mean, things are going great right now and now she has to leave? And I don't even know when she's coming back, or if she's coming back!" El frowned, she could tell he was beyond upset. "Where is she right now?" El asked, "At my house. She didn't want to go out in case they tried to find her or something."
