Emilia's Perspective

"Everyone please begin to make your final preparations the show will begin in fifteen minutes!" The stage director calls with his hands up, "Fifteen minutes till the first one walks!"

Looking at my reflection in the mirror I was trying to mentally prepare myself for what I was about to do, I had kept my shower robe over my outfit because one I wanted to conceal it until the show and two because it was a bit showy to just be walking around in.

Looking over at Zayn feeling my nerves still buzzing, "Zayn do you think she's still coming?"

"She said she'd be here Emilia and I trust her," he said looking firmly at me.

I nodded at him having more faith once again in the friend I had known for practically my whole life.

Turning back towards the dressing room mirrors I grabbed my phone off the vanity to again check the time feeling the knots in my stomach churning with fear. This feeing was worse than an period cramps you could imagine, and no amount of chocolate or heating pads could help ease the fear that was swarming inside me.

"Emilia!", I hear the familiar and toxic voice coming from behind me, "weird seeing you here considering you're not walking, are you lost? Cause the help belongs outside cleaning up the garbage and serving the drinks."

As I sat staring back at her plain but somehow pretty face, I couldn't understand how one person could be so cold and rude.

I blankly looked at her and whispered under my breath, "Don't be such a bitch."

Her face scrunched in seeming confused and obviously not hearing what I said, "Speak up Emilia there's nothing worse than someone who mumbles."

Standing up from my stool I walked straight over to where she now stood almost squaring her up like I was about to fight. I could never though.

" I said don't be such a BITCH!" Looking at her again, "and don't you ever call anyone the help or begin to insult those hardworking people again or else you're gonna get it from me!"

Out of the corner of my eye I see someone run in through the side of the tent. Turning my head I couldn't help but bring a smile across my face at the sight of my friend.

"Jenifer!" I say running towards her.

She quickly races up to me embracing me tightly and almost knocking us to the ground. I stayed clutching her for a few moments missing the comfort her hugs always brought to me.

Whispering to her while still hugging I say, "You came back?"

She giggles a little vibrating against me, "I wouldn't miss this for the world Emilia, it's you and me."

I pull back and she grabs the back she had set on the floor below us. "Oh I can't wait to show you!"

She jumps up and down in excitement, "Close your eyes first," she says her eyes going big with enthusiasm.

I shake my head and close my eyes, "are they closed?" She questions.

"They're shut!" I say still clenching my eyes.
