"Where are you going?" Xavier asked as he watched Rye get up from bed.
"To put on some clothes," Rye said smiling.
"I like you with no clothes on," Xavier admired her perfect round bottom as she bent over to pick up the torn dress.
"I don't want to scar Exto if he pops in here," Rye laughed.
Xavier groaned and rolled over to hide his face in the pillow.
"Here," Rye said coming back out of the closet, "Put these on." She threw a pair of sweats at his back.
Xavier got up from bed reluctantly and pulled the sweats on. Rye watched him as she pulled on some shorts and one of his shirts.
When he was done, Rye walked over to him and stepped in between his legs. She linked her arms around his neck as he lowered his head to her chest.
"I'm happy," he mumbled against her skin.
"I'm happier," Rye kissed the top of his head.
Xavier looked up and locked eyes with her, "I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you,"
Rye's pulse quickened. She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat.
As she kissed Xavier's cheek she tried to reason with herself that the curse was gone, she would be okay, Exton won't lose her...
But fear lingered in her heart.
"Tomorrow we're going to give you your scent back," Xavier said looking up at her again.
Rye's heart leaped, "Really?"
"Yes," Xavier smiled. "They're preparing for it tonight."
"What about the mole who leaked my information?"
"We will continue looking for them...I need my queen by my side as soon as possible." Xavier slid his hands under the shirt and squeezed Rye's butt, making her giggle.
Just as he was about to pull her back into bed, the door to their room barged open. Exton came running.
"I have got to teach you two how to knock," Xavier mumbled to Rye.
"Dad!" Exton climbed up into the bed and tackled Xavier.
"Hey buddy!" Xavier said laughing. He pulled Exton off his back and onto his lap.
"Guess what I did today!"
"What did you do?" Xavier asked eagerly.
"Andrew was picking on me at Church so I turned around and I kicked him in the balls!"
Xavier looked shocked while Rye burst into laughter.
"That's my baby!" Rye said high fiving Exton.
Xavier raised a brow at her. She rolled her eyes and sighed, "Exton...honey, you can't do that."
"But he started it!" Exton said. "And dad said I couldn't be the one to start it. I wasn't. I was the one that ended it."
Rye looked at Xavier, "Kid's got a point."
Xavier closed his eyes and shook his head.
"Why do you two want to fight everyone?" He asked.
"Because we can!" Exton insisted.
"But you shouldn't," Xavier said gently.
"He's right," Rye sat down next to Xavier, "As the future king, you have to always remain calm...look at your dad. He can't fight everyone. He has to keep calm in stressful situation because he is the one everyone will look at for direction. That's what makes a good king, baby." Rye explained to the little boy.
