Just nervous

It was Thursday meaning El got a day off of work. Sadly, she had to spend it with Chloe and helping her bring her things to Mike's house. Chloe wanted to move in with him as soon as possible so they started packing things into Mike's car around 9 in the morning.

El, Mike, and Chloe had been unpacking the room Chloe had been staying in for about an hour. El didn't know why it was taking so long, she didn't have a lot in the room but she was finally carrying out the last pairs of clothing out of her closet.

She set it in the trunk of Mike's car and then closed the door. El walked back inside the house and checked the room again, "Alright, I think we're done." She sighed, "Okay great, do you want to come with us to Mike's house?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, why not?" It's not like she had anything better to do so why not just go to Mike's house? "Okay great," Chloe replied with a smile, "Let's get going!"

The trio piled into Mike's car and he started the engine and the car began going down towards Mike's house. "So, Chloe, how long are you staying at Mike's?" El asked, "A few days at the most. My parents should be leaving soon, I'll have to drive down my street to check when they leave." Chloe replied.

El nodded and stayed silent for the rest of the ride to Mike's house. When they arrived, his house was not what El was expecting. His house was at the end of a cul-de-sac of one of the most well-known streets in Hawkins, next to Loch Nora, it was a pretty popular street to live on.

His house had a neat garden in the front and the lawn was freshly cut, the house was huge compared to her small cabin. Mike pulled the car into the driveway and parked it right behind another car. They all hopped out of the car and grabbed a few of her bags and began walked towards the house.

Mike set his share of bags down and unlocked the garage door and walked inside the house, holding the door for the two girls. "You know where the spare room is right?" Mike asked Chloe. "Yep, right down the hall from Nancy's room," Chloe replied as she began walking up the stairs with everyone following behind her.

"Your house is nice," El commented, Mike turned his head to look at her. "Oh, thanks."

El smiled at him and they continued walking up the stairs, eventually making it to the spare room. El set Chloe's bags on the bed in the room and looked at the other two people in the room. "So are we unpacking everything now?" Mike asked, Chloe nodded and started taking clothes and appliances out of her bags.

Mike and El followed her lead and started unpacking her bags, putting clothes in drawers and the closet, putting personal belongings into the bathroom and so on. Everything was going good and they were getting a lot of things put away in a matter of time.

"Hey Mike, where's the bathroom?" El asked, "Down the hall and it's the last door to your right."

El followed his instructions and went down the hall, she passed a few rooms but didn't bother to look inside of them. Finally, she found the bathroom and walked inside, closing the door behind her.

After she was done in the bathroom she washed her hands and walked out and began going back towards Chloe's room. On the way there she stopped in the hallway and looked inside a room. It had blue walls and a neatly made bed, there were posters of some nerdy TV shows and a few band posters on the walls. El wasn't sure if it was Mike's room because she'd never heard him talk about any of the things in the room and she wasn't sure if he had a brother or not.

Nonetheless, she thought the room was cool.

"Hey, whatcha doing?"

El turned around to see Mike standing in the hallway beside her, "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to intrude-"
