It was around six in the morning, I arrived earlier than I thought and now I just stood outside of the house. The house I once called my own, the house I once lived in with all my children and wife. My wife, my mate, the woman I couldn't live with out. I know it was because of me that she had gone through all the lonliness and tiring days of taking care of all of our children, I only hope that she could forgive me.
My ears twitched at the sound of movement on the second floor of the house. I knew it had to be my beloved, Fiona, she was always an early riser. I smiled as memories of us when we were younger and newly mated, I wanted to do everything for her, I had even planned one morning to wake up and make her breakfast but it turned out that she woke up a whole hour before I thougth she would and ended up with the breakfast she made for me. That didn't stop me from making her dinner or lunch though.
"How long are you going to be standing there, Father?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of my eldest son's voice.
"It might be too early in the morning to spring me out on your Mother, don't you think?" I spoke, feeling nervous.
"She already knows that you were coming, I never said what time, so come inside." Thomas motioned for me to come inside, I hesitated for a moment before sighed and made my way across the pavement up the poarch stairs, across the deck and past my son into the house.
"Where is everyone?" I asked not really sure what to do at the moment.
"Everyone is in the kitchen, except Nivea, she's in France as I told you a few days ago." He filled in as he led me to the kitchen which looked exactly the same except for new appliances here and there.
As we entered the kitchen, everyone turned to look at me and froze with different looks on their faces. The only face I was concentrating on was my mate, Fiona. She looked at me as if she had seen the worst possible thing in the world.
I could hear my wolf whimpering at the sight of his mate, wanting more than anything to touch her. I took a second to look around at our pups, who were looking at mewith fascination and what was most prominent on David's face; disgust.
"Why are you here?" David spoke up first, "Do you plan to leave us, leave Mom' again?"
"Let me speak with him alone for a moment." Mother spoke before motioning for him to follow.
"How could a hunter be tracking my mate, we live on private grounds, no one enters or leaves without my knowledge." I was no longer in a good mood.
"Look, this hunter has been tracking werewolves for years, that's what caused my Father to fake his death to protect us, even though he went insane." Thomas the eldest brother of Nivea's siblings spoke.
"Faked his death? So that means that everyone except you knew he was dead." I concluded.
"Yea, he'll be here later today I spoke to everyone here about him, my Mother thought it was a joke and my siblings weren't interested, I don't know how to go about telling Nivea though." He sighed.
"She's already stressed enough, and they baby is due next month, I really don't want to cause an early labor." I rubbed my face in frustration.
"I'm setting a plan for all of us to come over there for a while, I'm sure you already know how special she is." Thomas spoke lowly.
"Yes, I know about that," I answered becoming more unsettled the more our conversation progressed.
"Well theres a lot more to it than we already know.....a lot more" Thomas sighed again.
"Okay so I'll just tell her you all plan to visit, that'll make her happy and reduce some stress." I decided.
" Alright, that's a good idea, we'll be there tomorrow afternoon." he spoke with relief.
"Then I'll call you tommorow morning." I concluded.
After saying our goodbyes I hung up and headed back to my bedroom where mate Yalu sleeping. In the middle of the bed curled up in as much of a ball as she could make lay Nivea, fast asleep. I could tell with sleep her steel level was slightly lowered but not enough for my liking.
Curling up behind her I pulled the covers folded at the foot of the bed up over us before wrapping my arms around her waist before drifting to sleep as well.
"What were you talking about with my brother for so long?" Her drowsy voice came through.
"He wanted me to tell you that they plan to come visit us soon." I answered truthfully.
"Awesome, we can have a big dinner and what not." She stretched with both arms above her head and her feet pointing straight to the end of the bed as she turned over to face me.
She wrapped her left leg over my right hip as she formed we body to mine, pressing her forehead to my chest. I could help but smile at how well she fit to my body, like the missing puzzle piece in my life. I pulled her as close as our unborn child would let me, before I drifted to sleep.
"So when is my family coming to visit?" I asked as we sat in the kitchen eating breakfast alone.
" I don't know, they want it to be a surprise so it's up to them." Atesh smiled as I stuffed my face full of food.
"Hmm, normally they'll tell someone when their. Coming so that they can prepare for them." I thought out loud.
"Well, we all know you've got literally a little under a month left before our pup is born, we're all doing what we can to keep you from an early labor." Atesh leaned over and kissed my syrup glossed lips.
"I feel like something is going on, I'm not sure what but your apart of it." I eyed him suspiciously.
"Okay, fine, I'll tell you but don't get too excited okay?" I nodded " I wanted to take you to the spa today."
"Oh really?" I kept watching him, knowing that wasn't the real thing.
"Yea, I know you've been under a lot of stress and everything so I just wanted to make sure you got a full day to relax." He smiled sweetly at me.
"Atesh, you're a man, so I don't really expect you to know this but, as a pregnant woman, I can't really get just any massage." I set my fork down.
"What do you mean?" He looked at me confused.
"There are pressure points in my body that can induce early labor and that's not something we want, right?" I smirked.
"Wow, I never knew that. Maybe we can get you another kind of massage or I can get you your favorite things to eat." He offered.
"After I eat, I'm going to look for my cat, by the way, do we have to stay here, I kind of like to have my own little space." I felt like I was complaining and I didn't like that.
"I was wondering when you would feel this way. I plan to get us a home but, at the present time you are much safer in the mansion, so at least a few months after the baby is born, I'll feel more sure about having our own space." Atesh caressed my cheek before running my large stomach.
"Much Safer? Is this not the packs' land? I should be safe here." I knew now something was up.
"As a male it is my duty to make sure my family is safe, no matter where we are."
THERE! I hope you all enjoyed this I'm planning out how to wrap this up, and I'll be going back and editing the story so I can eventually publish it. See ya next chapter.
