Age Regression!

Littlespace Age Characteristics

Little ages are the age a little typically regresses too. My little age fluctuates usually between 1-5. However, I usually stay 2-3. How do we know what age we are? Well it would be hard for me to tell you because every little is different but I can tell you some characteristics for each age range. Remember every little is different !

0-1 year old🍼

-Usually nonverbal but uses very basic words like "mama/dada".
-Typically isn't toilet trained and is in diapers.
- Uses a pacifer.
- Is very clingy and needy.
- Typically will want to eat softer foods.
-Very messy eater.
- Still uses bottles.
-Resorts to crawling or very wobbly walking, grabbing onto things etc.
-Probably wants to be held more.
-Might use teethers.
-Loves toys like blocks, and stuffed animals.

2-3 year olds 🌸

--More verbal than younger ones but there a still lots of baby talk.
- Potty training typically happens around this age, however night time diapers and daytime pull ups are still needed.
- Still uses a pacifer.
- Still very clingy and lovey dovey.
- Prefers soft foods and doesn't usually enjoy veggies.
- Still very messy while eating.
- Typically uses softer tipped sippy cups but still might use a bottle for comfort.
- Walks more than crawls.
- Loves educational toys and stuffed animals.
-Probably starts to develop a love for animals.
-Easily overstimulated.
-Tantrums get a little more frequent.
- Carries around comfort items like a blankie.

4 years old 🦋

- Might have a lisp or slurs words but is understandable.
-Doesn't wear diapers anymore but may use training pants and/or pull ups.
- Might use a paci.
- Uses sippys and no longer uses bottles.
-Has a love for watching shows typically ones about animals, and typically enjoys art like fingerpainting, also is getting into dress up. Loves stuffies!
- There might be frequent monster in the closet checks.

5 years old 🦄

-Speech is well formed now and might even be reading.
-Out of training pants, accidents may happen occasionally.
-Rarely if ever uses a paci.
- Uses sippys but is moving up to water bottles.
- Enjoys sweets, coloring, car toys, and baby dolls.
- Needs naps or else will get cranky.
- Very sassy.

6 years old 🍭

- Fully potty trained.
- No longer uses a paci.
- Mostly uses water bottles instead of bottles.
- Will eat sweets until they're sick and then do it again.
- Loves disney, cartoons, car rides, and pizza.

7-8 years old 🍦

- Uses water bottles.
- Thinks their tough ("I'm a big kid")
- Plays on a ds and maybe a console.
- Knows some swears and might even say them behind their caregivers back.
- Enjoys princesses/superheroes, movies, etc...
