"Not today"

*Melissa's POV*

My emotion were mixed when I saw Katie. I was happy, excited, worried, nervous and scared at the same time.

I lead her to the room where Ms. Flockhart waited us. My hands are shaking. I wanted to hug her but I'm coward enough to do that. An awkward silence came as I lead her the way

"Thank you" She thanked me for opening the door for her

I just nodded and smiled 'cause I don't know what to say. She then sat on the chair infront of Ms. Flockhart's seat. I went and stood on Ms. Flockhart's side, ready to take down notes whatever I need to.

"Where's your assistant?" Ms. Flockhart asked Katie

"She used the bathroom. Don't mind her. I can assist myself without her. I've been alone for the past 3 years"
She said with her badass accent (Irish)

I know what she meant by that. 3 years had passed since we broke up. I tried to avoid eye contact with her when she looked at me

"You know each other don't you?" Ms. Flockhart said pointing to us

"She's my ex" Katie and I said in a unison

"Ex??" My boss asked confusedly. She looked so shocked.

"Uhm.... She's my..... Ex... E-ex boss. I worked under her company as reporter-actress" I said trying not to say anything stupid. What I said it true though.

"I only meant to say, Ex-bestfriend. Whatever you're thinking is wrong. I never had a relationship with her" Katie said

I don't know why but somehow, it hurts me. She denied me and it hurts me directly to my heart. I mean, I know I denied her also but, hearing what she said without even hesitation hurts me. So bad

"Oh. Okay then. So I think Melissa you should get outside and--" Katie cutted Ms. Flockhart

"No. I want her here" Katie said

"Well I think I should go-" Katie cutted me off as well

"I said I want you to stay. I don't mean to throw you anyway" She said.

I can sense that what she said have double meaning. Ms. Flockhart looked at us raising her eyebrow so I looked away

"Let's disscuss shall we" Katie told Ms. Flockhart

"Yeah.. We shall" Ms. Flockhart responsed while looking at me. I know that she can sense something. She's a pretty good judge so I'm not gonna be surprised is she finds out that Katie and I had been in a relationship before

*Eve's POV*

I was on the elevator being excited on what could happen. There is something I know but I didn't told Ms. McGrath. Yesterday, she told me that we are going in here and gonna be seeing Ms. Flockhart. I'm not that familiar about her so I searched her on the internet and there I found out that Ms. Benoist, Ms. McGrath's ex is working as assistant to Ms. Flockhart.

As I finally reached the floor where they are, I rushed myself to open the door of Ms. Flockhart's meeting room. As I came in, I saw the three of them, Ms. Flockhart, Ms. McGrath and Ms. Benoist looked at me.

"Sorry" I said shyly

I looked at Ms. McGrath and she gave me a sign to stand on her side so I did. I took a glimps of Ms.Benoist while I'm on my way to Ms. McGrath

"You have no idea what am I feeling right now" Ms. McGrath whispered so I'm the only can here

I looked Melissa and I catched her stealing a glimps of Ms. McGrath. I smiled as I looked away before Ms. Benoist will see me. I can sense that the both of them missed each other so much. They're so cute, and now, the both of them are stealing a glimps of each other

"Awwwee that's so cute" I said giggling. I frozed when I realized that I had said it out loud

"What is?" The three of them asked in a unison

"Uhm.. The... The... Y-your clothes Ms. Flockhart" I lied

Ms. Flockhart rolled her eyes. Melissa looking so confused as she mind her own things again and Ms. McGrath looking at me raising her eyebrows.

*Katie's POV*

My meeting with Calista was finally over. I knew it. She do want me to watch on Catco while she's gone. I know I don't wanted to watch over this company. But now that I know that Melissa's working here, it makes me change my mind. So I said yes to Calista and I'm gonna be staying in here for a month. It means, I'm gonna have a chance to see Melissa more often

"Well thank you Katie" Calista said. She was about to get outside with Melissa so I decided to excuse Melissa from her for a moment

"Uhm Calista, mind if I borrow your assistant for a minute?' I said pointing out to Melissa

Melissa looked up surprised "M-me?" she asked

"Yeah you can" Calista said approving leaving the room

"Eve, can you gave us a minute?" I asked Eve. I looked at her and she's smiling and it is obvious that she's excited about something. I know that she's thinking about Melissa and I getting back together.

"Whatever it is in your head is not gonna happen. Not today" I said

I looked at Melissa and she looked so confused on what me and Eve talking about. Eve went outside leaving Melissa and I a minute

"Hi" I started out

"H-hi me? Oh, hi" Melissa responds with a smile. I know that smile. She's nervous on something

I wanted to talk to her about what happened 3 years ago when we broke up but I have the feeling that she wasn't ready about it yet

"Are you free tomorrow?" I asked decided not to push it today. Not right now

"I-I guess" She answered

"Well I'm gonna be here for a month but yeah, see you then" I said as I give her a smile

"Hey you.. You ah, you're still wearing it" She said looking at the direction of my ears

"I never took them off" I said leaving the room with a smile

"Did you get her back?" Eve excitedly asked when I got out

"I told you, not today. But, I will try to" I said letting out a sigh.
