KACEY'S POV

I sat on my bed, thinking about what I should do. Avi obviously hates me for no apparent reason. I didn't do anything to him and yet he still hates me. There is no way that I am going to make it through a whole 'nother semester being around Avi. I just wouldn't be able to handle it. I wonder what I should do.

AVI'S POV

Great Avi. Just great. You made her run away. I told myself that I would start being nice to her, and ended up making her run off. Kevin walked in the room and sat across from me.

"What's up Avi?"

"Just thinking." I replied.

"About what?"

I shook my head.

"Nothing."

"Oh c'mon man. You can tell me." He said.

I was still silent. I wasn't in a talking mood.

"Its about Kacey." He said.

My eyes snapped over to him. How did he know who I was thinking about?

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You obviously like her Avi."

"I still don't know what-"

"I see the way you look at her, especially after you've done something mean to her. I see the way you stiffen up if she gets anywhere around you. And how you talk quieter. Don't test my intelligence Avi, its offensive."

"I don't know what to do Kevin. I hate her so much. She's making me go crazy! I'm losing my mind. The only thing I can think about is her! I Hate her and what makes is worse is that now I have to see her everyday. She doesn't know what she does to me."

"Look." Kevin said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Just go talk to her. Tell her how she makes you feel. Tell her how she makes you go crazy, how you....hate her."

He stood up, grabbed his keys and walked out the door. I assumed he was going home. I guess I should too. I grabbed my keys and walked out the door after saying goodbye to Scott and Mitch.

******************************

I walked into my house and immediately went up to my room. I thought about what Kevin said. "Just talk to her." Maybe I should talk to her.

I reached in my pocket to grab my phone. But it wasn't in there. I reached into the other but it wasn't in there either. I ran downstairs to the coat closet but I had no luck.

"Shit, it's at their house."

For the second time today. I grabbed my keys and ran out the door. I knocked on Scott and Mitch's door and Kacey opened it.

"Uh, I uhm.. came to see if my uhm.....phone was here." I stumbled.

She looked at me with a confused face and let me in. She looked like a cute little puppy when she tilted her head sideways in confusion. I just smiled at myself. Maybe Kevin was right. Maybe I was falling for her.

I hated her and liked her at the same time.

How could I not? The way her long brown hair moved. Or her long eyelashes. Her face was clear and looked smooth. Yep...I'm falling for Kacey Schmidt. I continued to search for my phone.

KACEY'S POV

I walked back up to my room as Avi continued to look for his phone. I didn't mind being around him when he wasn't being a jackass. He was pleasant to be around. I know Avi is a nice person. He's the nicest person I know. He's just not nice to me....I don't even know why.

I was so overwhelmed with everything. Moving colleges, moving states, being around someone that hates you, liking someone who hates you. It was all just too much. It was 4:30pm, but it was going to get a little darker soon. I decided I would go and take a walk in the cool air to clear my mind.

"I'm going for a walk." I told Avi.

"Alright, be safe mutant."

"Whatever jackass."

I walked out of the door and started my walk. I was thinking about anything that crosses my mind. Avi, college, my parents, icecream, cookies...more Avi.

But what I didn't realize was that I didn't even know where I was. How stupid could I be to not know where I was. On top of it all it was dark. I think that I was walking straight the whole time. I'll just turn around and walk back.

Just my luck, it was dark and now raining. I don't have a hood or an umbrella. Uughhh!! Great!! I started walking back but I could barely see anything. I had a feeling someone was watching me so I walked faster. I could hear the person behind me pick up their pace so I started jogging.

The person behind me started sprinting towards me. But I wasn't fast enough, the person grabbed both of my shoulders and spinned me around. I could tell it was a female. She reeked of alcohol and smoke.

"Hey babe, why don't we go back to my place?"

"No, get the fuck away from me!"

"I can show you better pleasure then a man can baby."

She started to touch me in the wrong areas. I tried to scream but she covered my mouth with her filthy hand.

"Scream and I hurt you."

She started kissing and nibbling on my earlobe. All I could do was cry. Noone was around. It was dark and raining. No street lights were on. It was just me, myself, I and the filthy woman.

AVI'S POV

"Scott! Mitch! Where is Kacey?" I asked frightened.

"What do you mean?" Mitch said.

"She told me she was going for a walk, that was two and a half hours ago!" I yelled.

"What!?" Scott yelped.

"Has she called either one of you?"

"No." They both replied.

"I'm going to go find her. Stay here in case she comes back."

I ran out to my car and put the keys in the ignition.

"Fuck!"

My car wouldn't even start up. I hopped out my car and sprinted down the street calling for her name. The rain was running down my body as I ran. My hair was sticking to my face. But I didn't care.

I wasn't about to lose her. Not again.
