This one shot contains mentions of cheating, abuse, slight drugs (not much and nobody's using), and beating someone. Please read at your own risk.

Ok, so, im bored. And a friend accidentally gave me this idea. Have fun yall.

Human au, they're seniors in high school.

Remus and Roman Royal were brothers. Twins, actually. Looking at them you can't tell them apart. They were 18, 6'1 inches, had dark hair and eyes, and very handsome. However they couldn't be more different mentally.

Roman was the popular kid, the jock, the lead in every musical and play their high school put on. He always wore his letterman jacket, and a pair of jeans with a tight t shirt.

Remus, however...he was quite the different story. Something happened, causing him to hang with the "wrong crowd," as it was normally put. He didn't do drugs, but did get in a lot of fights. It didn't help that his mother put him amd Roman in taekwondo at a young age, either. No matter the temperature, he wore his black jacket and a bright green shirt, black skinny jeans, and combat boots.

There was one thing the brothers could agree on, though. And that was their mutual friend, Patton Sweet. He was shorter, only 5'4. He was 17, and had short, blond, curly hair and bright blue eyes. He wore bright colors, and never said anything mean about anyone, even if they did to him. Freckles littered his face, and he always smiled.

And that was how remus and Roman knew something was wrong.

The twins got to school, already arguing about something or other. Neither of them noticed as Patton walked up, sniffling and wiping his eyes amd trying to hide his face. It took a minute before either of them saw him.

"Remus could you just- Patton?" Roman stopped what he was doing, face immediately changing to one of concern. Remus looked over as well, his face softening. "Cookie, what's wrong?" Roman gently put a hand on Patton's shoulder.

The smaller shrugged. "Nothing..." He mumbled, trying a smile. But he still refused to show his face, so that didn't work.

Remus gently grabbed Patton's chin, making him look up. He gasped, growing angry. "Who did this?" He growled out. On Patton's face was a busted lip and a bruised cheek, along with a swollen, black eye.

Pat started crying again, and the twins pulled him into a hug. He broke, legs giving out. Roman and remus looked to each other, and Remus picked Patton up. He carried him to a bench, Roman following. Both glared at ANYONE who dared stare at them.

It took a bit, but Patton calmed down. He was still shaking slightly. "J-jaxon..." He whispered. "I-I caught him ch-cheating one me...w-with some g-girl..." His voice was quiet, and he was looking at the ground.

"I'm gonna kill a bitch," Remus growled. He got up, but stopped when Patton grabbed his arm.

"Rem, pl-please don't..." He whimpered. "You'll get in trouble."

Roman gave Remus a look and the latter sighed, sitting back down. "Ok Pat. I won't." Yet, he added to himself.

The bell rang, and the twins had to say bye to Patton. However, they both had drama first hour. Roman looked at Remus as they walked. "We're beating the shit out of him, right?" He asked.

Remus scoffed. "Like that's even a question." He growled lightly, obviously angry and protective.

Later in the day, after school, both twins said bye to Patton. Then they looked at one another and smirked. Jaxon was one of Roman's "friends", so he had messaged him to meet them after school.

Both boys went to the meeting place, right outside the press box by the football field. Jaxon was already there. "Hey Roman! Ugh, Remus."

Remus glared back at him. "Jaxon," he spat out with malice. "Why did you think it was ok to hurt Patton?" Both he amd Roman looked pissed.

Jaxon scoffed. "That idiot? He falls too fast, and it was funny to see the look on his face." He looked between the two. "You guys actually care for him? Wow, you must be dumber than I thought."

Roman grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, pinning Jaxon to the wall. "Don't EVER insult Patton." He had a murderous look.

Remus grabbed Jaxon's hand tightly, causing him to yelp. "You hurt our best friend. You pay the price," he had a slight giggly, psychotic tone in his voice.

Roman used his free hand to punch Jaxon in the nose, hearing a crunch. He let go as the other doubled over, clutching his nose. Remus kicked him, making him fall to the ground. He kicked the boys stomach repeatedly, and after a bit Roman stopped him.

"Don't kill him, Rem." Roman spat on Jaxon's face. "Do not talk to, touch, or even look at Patton again. Understand?"

The one on the ground whimpered and nodded, unable to move. The twins left, high giving one another.

The next day, Jaxon was walking around at lunch holding his stomach and a splint on his nose. He saw thw twins with Patton and instantly went the other way.

Patton gasped, turning on Roman and Remus. "What did you two do?!" He whisper yelled at them.

Roman looked down, ashamed. However Remus just smirked. "Nothing you can prove, flower."
