"Hurry up!" I ran down the side of the beach my shoes getting stuck in the sand as I ran.
"Hajime wait!" Nagito trailed behind me at a slower pace. I was honestly getting tired of running down the Long Beach. So I slowed my pace and stopped completely, waiting for him to catch up.

It had already been a few weeks after his stay in the hospital so I didn't want him to accidentally hurt himself.
"Okay okay, I'm here." He was catching his breath.

"I'll stop running now if that makes you feel better." I chuckled slightly.
"Thank you." His cheerful smile was against his cheeks making my butterflies swarm.
"So what did you wanna do? I mean you pulled me all the way out here." He sighed still trying to regain his breath.

"I wanted to talk..." I couldn't believe I was going to say this.
I never thought I could do this, my past self would have been yelling at me by now.
How could I tell someone I loved them?
"Okay, what about?" I motioned to the beach.
"Let's sit." We both sat down next to each other. Side by side shoulders just barley touching.
The waves were almost touching the tips of our shoes as we sat admiring the waves.
The breeze blew through his soft white hair lightly showcasing his face. All of his features were so perfectly aligned.

He was so handsome almost beautiful.

"Well, I just thought.." he smiled waiting for an answer from my trembling lips.
"Yeah?"
"Can I be honest?" I sighed the rising heat in my face took me by surprise.
This was going to be harder than I thought.

"Of course you can be honest with me Hajime, we're friends right?" He playfully shoved my shoulder. But I just awkwardly sighed.
The nervousness was getting to me, swirling in my head.
"I...uh." My face was now completely flushed." Nagito gasped.
"Are you okay? Do I need to get Mikan?" He was about to stand up but I quickly stopped him.
"I'm okay."
He relaxed leaning back on his hands on the sandy beach.

"Okay well what do you need to tell me?" His eyes met mine like they always seemed to.
"I...I think I like you." It slipped out quickly.
"Well of course I like you too. Your one of my best friends now. Remember?" He laughed.
Clearly he hadn't got it.
"No...I like like you." His facial expression changed as a small oh escaped his lips.

I knew he'd hate me. How could I have thought he'd like me.
A boy liking him, he probably thought I was crazy.
"This is so stupid I should have never said anything..." I got up my flushed face had quickly vanished, I turned away until a hand grabbed mine.
I was jerked back a bit.
"That's funny you know." I looked down at his hand that he had grabbed.
He then intertwined our hands making my heart beat fast.
This was real right?
Had I been wrong?

"Because I feel the same." He tilted his head up.
A small smile appeared on my face.
I couldn't believe it.
I helped him up taking his other hand embracing him in a hug.
"This reminds me of when we danced." He laughed a bit making me remember a warm distant but not too distant memory.

I released his embrace but kept our hands intertwined.
"When did you know?" I sighed curious as to how long the crush had been.
"Oh that's easy. Since school first started probably when I first met you. But then those boys.." I shook my head.
"That doesn't matter anymore." We stood in awe of each other.

"So uh, should we go or?" We hadn't moved from the spot we stood in for a few minutes and I felt a strange awkwardness arise. But I honestly didn't want to leave.
"Let's just sit here for a while." I then accidentally tripped falling onto Nagito. I fell on top of him getting a smack of sand in my face. We collapsed onto the sand in laughter.
"I'm so sorry." I said through laughs.
"It's okay." We sat up brushing our clothes off coated with sand.
The quietness kicked in.

"I can't believe you'd like someone like me." Nagito sighed.
"Why do you say that?" I looked over at the boy.
"I..because no one has ever loved me." He glanced over at the waves forming and flipping over each other, pulling his knees in close to his chest. His smile was absent from his face.

"I do." His eyes glistened as he stared over at me in awe.
"Really?" I cupped his face with my hands startling him.
"Yes. You are worth it. I'm glad your here. And if I'm being honest I think your the most amazing handsome human being I know." He smiled but I could see the tears in his eyes.

No one had ever told him that it was obvious.
"Thank you." He whispered to me quietly grabbing my hands planted on his face he leaned in placing his forehead on mine, soft tears trickling down his face.

I didn't care who was watching.
I didn't care who bothered us or questioned us or any of that.
All I cared about was this moment. And I didn't want this moment to be ruined.

I pressed my lips against his it lasted a while in complete silence that seemed endless. I melted into his kiss more finally wrapping my arms around him. He did the same, neither of us wanted to stop.
I let go taking a breath.
I smiled cupping his cheek for a quick second.

I then began to laugh.
"I can't believe that just happened." He nodded agreeing. We both laid back on the sand listening to the sounds of the ocean come and go.
It felt like an endless pit I wanted to be in forever. I grabbed his cold hand admiring it intertwined in mine.
This felt so right.

"Do you wanna go?" I asked.
"Not really.." he looked up at the blue sky. The sun was hitting our faces warming them.
I yawned in which return Nagito did scooting over and resting his head on my shoulder as I rested my head on his.

I then heard the soft sounds of footsteps in the distance. The sand crunched from whoever it was.
I looked at Nagito giving each other a look as we whipped up fast.

It was Chiaki, fuyuhiko, and Kazuichi.
"There you guys are we were looking for you." I glanced over at Nagito who had a small smile plastered on his lips.
"Well we're here." They all sat down next to us, which I didn't mind.
Everything felt in place.
This was it.
What I needed.
"You guys we're pretty far out here. We were looking EVERYWHERE." Fuyuhiko said sounding a bit annoyed.

"Oh sorry." I quickly said I didn't really want him to be that angry although he was probably kidding...I hoped.
I scotched over closer to Nagito and placed my hand on his. Luckily It wasn't noticeable.
"It's so nice out today." Chiaki motioned to the water moving around and about.

It really was nice out today.
