Chapter 2

(Seans P.O.V)

Once in the hallway I looked around for her... I still didn't know her name, and that really aggravated me. She was to beautiful for me.... To perfect to be held by me. But why didn't she talk. I was really frustrating trying to find that out....

With a dazed expression a group of jocks walked by mumbling about something, so I listened in... I wasn't all too pleased with what I heard...

"Have you ever seen her face?" One asked

"No, but she's like, totally hot..." A tall black haired boy was mumbling.

"Does anyone know why she doesn't talk?"

Nobody answered that question... Then they started betting...

"I bet I can get her "Hooked up" first!"

With a loud snort the black haired boy laughed "Josh, that's like such a big-"

He cut off as he saw me listening, giving a smirk he began betting on getting the red-head in his bed sooner than the Football captain named Josh... With a snarl under my breath I turned and collided with ...her...

She glanced up, pulled her hood farther over her face, and quickly leaned over to snag up her papers, but I was faster... With a small groan she took a step back as I leaned over. Her big red eyes glazed over with terror... Wait... she has red eyes. I took a step away from her. The sullen sorrowful look set deep in her eyes bubbled within my heart. How can someone so beautiful be so deeply chafed by pain. I smiled tentatively trying to reassure her...

Even with my grin she attentively grasped the papers in her hand, and scrambled down the hallway. The boys near me were bursting green with envy, but I felt a wave of startling protectiveness wash over me. Glaring at them I turned and this time headed to my next period, Science...

Thoughts dwelled in my head, 'Had those been bruises on her wrist...?, and ‘Why did I feel so protective of her?'

Shaking my head slightly I pushed open the class door, and again only to come face to face with the girl...

Startled I held my stiff stance... He'd run into me in the hallway, but I'd stayed calm enough. Now he bashed heavily into me coming through the door, he had yet another class with me...

His shimmering sea colored green/blue eyes twinkled as my crimson ones made slight contact. He smiled again, and I turned away, giving our teacher Mr. Forest a grimace. He was the only one who I'd ever confided in... The day before I slipped into silence.

Giving me a knowing look, he held out my work and a library pass. Flashing him a small smile I hugged him tightly and bustled out the door.

A sigh escaped me, he was so kind, such a kindled soul. My head down, eyes observing to the linoleum I made my way to the library where I could do my Science work in peace and quiet.
