Name of Love-Eremika

-chapter 15-

Mikasa hair was growing to her shoulders now, just like it was in the Survey Corps and Akane was now 9 months. Eren had been in the hospital for 6, and to say the least, the only thing keeping Mikasa alive was her daughter and her soon to be son, yes she was pregnant. 

Levi and Hanji were helping out a lot, they practically lived at her and Eren's house.

"Levi, I'm going to go visit Eren, okay?"Mikasa asked, getting up from playing with her child on the ground. She had grown so attached to Akane, she never wanted to let her go. 

"Okay squirt. Be careful, okay? Let us know if anything comes up," Levi stated, replacing Mikasa's spot on the floor with her daughter as they played with her stuffed elephant. 

Mikasa shuffled out of the house, her back in extreme pain, but she insisted to see Eren everyday until he woke up from his coma. She climbed into her car and made it to the hospital. 

"Hello Mikasa, I'll let the doctors know you're here to see Eren," the receptionists said and smiled. Her and Mikasa had become to know each other a little more as each visit went by. 

"Thanks Ellie." Mikasa sped walked to Eren's room to see if anything had changed, but unfortunately, he still lay in his bed, motionless when she walked in. She sighed, walking up to his bed and sitting at the end of it. She held his hand tightly and stroked it lightly, feeling his rough skin against hers. "Eren, I know you can hear me, and I just got an ultrasound on Tuesday, we're having a boy." Mikasa began to tear up, now adjusting herself so she could lay on his chest. "I can already tell he's going to be huge, you should see me right now," Mikasa laughed out loud, getting no response. The door creaked open, getting Mikasa's attention, but she didn't move.

"Good afternoon Ms. Ackerman. How are you holding up?" One of Eren's many nurses would stop by and talk to Mikasa to make her less lonely in a silent room. 

"I'm okay, Mr. White, I found out the baby's gender," Mikasa wiped her tears away and sat up to face the nurse. "We're having a boy!" 

"That's fantastic Mikasa! Any ideas on the name yet?" She shook her head and looked back at Eren. "What would he want to name our boy?" 

"Honestly, I want to wait for Eren to wake up to decide." Nurse White sighed and pulled up a chair next to Mikasa. 

"Mikasa, you know he probably won't wake up for that time, right?" She looked at him and shook her head.

"No. He can't just stay like that forever!" She began to get hysterical. "He WILL be awake!" The nurse knew this was a common side affect for family members of the person in a coma to go through this. 

"Okay Mikasa, just be careful." The nurse walked out and quietly shut the door behind him. 

"Eren," Mikasa looked at his face, his beard was growing longer and so was his hair. "You will be back, right? RIGHT?" Mikasa took a deep breath and stopped herself. She kissed his forehead and left without a trace, soon to be greeted by a phone call when she got home. 

Mikassa walked slowly into her house, hoping dinner would already be made. She had felt so empty without Eren, she couldn't even do the simply task of getting up in the morning sometimes. 

"Look! Mommy's home!" Levi pointed at Mikasa with Akane on his hip as she smiled, which instantly put her in a better mood. She took Levi from his arms and tossed her up in the air, catching her and laughing. The phone began to ring as Hanji ran across the kitchen floor to pick it up. 

"OI! Hello?!" "Yeah, hold on," Hanji held the phone out to Mikasa, "It's for you." Mikasa gave her a questioning look but took the phone from her anyways. 

"Hello?" 

"Hello, we would like to speak to Ms. Ackerman." 

"This is she," Mikasa held onto Akane tighter, feeling that she was getting antsy in her arms. 

"Good afternoon. We have some great news for you. Eren has awoken from his coma." Mikasa couldn't process the words as she dropped the phone. Levi shot his head in her direction and picked up the pieces. 

"What happened?" She didn't know what to say. "Helloooo?" 

"Eren's awake."

"Take Akane with you and go see him! We'll bring dinner up to you guys so you don't have to eat the hospital food," Levi kissed Mikasa's forehead, " He'll be so happy to see you two."

Mikasa buckled Akane in her carseat, bringing her elephant with her as she started the car and drove off. 

Once she got there, doctors were already prepared to see her as her and Akane were escorted back to his room.

"He may be overwhelmed at first," one of the doctors warned as the other opened up the door to reveal him laying in his bed, looking at the door. Both Eren and Mikasa's eyes lit up when they saw each other. 

"Eren..." Mikasa walked up to him slowly and lay at the edge of his bed as she always did. 

"Mikasa, I heard everything!" Eren slowly lifted his hand and planted it on Mikasa's swollen stomach. "I'm so happy." Eren reached up to kiss Mikasa. She backed away a minute later.

"Look who else is here!" Mikasa smiled as she set Akane in Eren's arms, holding her as well so it wouldn't be too much weight for him to handle. 

"She's grown up so much," Eren began to tear up, feeling guilty for missing so much of Akane's beginning months. "She looks so beautiful." She began to babble as she crawled up to Eren's face. He laughed and held onto her tighter. "Careful there love bug, you're going to fall."
