"Please don't tell me?" Ari asked with tears in her eyes I nodded crying into my hands they came over to me hugging me and that's when the real water works came I really lost my baby.
"Mrs.Esteves you the room is ready for you guys to see him if you would like that" I nodded wiping my face
"Where's Erza" I asked I didn't wanna see him alone
"I'm right here baby..come on" he said grabbing my ha d squeezing it I squeezed it back putting on a fake smile. We followed the lady onto the elevator going up to the 6th floor she walked us back to a room walking away.
I took a deep breath before entering the room I saw my baby was just laying in the hospital bed just as lifeless as can be. His once vibrant dark skinwas now pale, he had a spot of hair missing on the side.
"Da Damn" Erza stuttered walking over to him stroking his face "he really gone?" He asked putting his head on erion chest " M M my" I walked over to them sitting on the bed with erion "m m my s s son gone baby" he cried touching his face I wiped my eyes looking at the ceiling so I wouldn't start back crying. I pulled his head into my lap as he kneeled down wrapping his arms around my waist crying . Hearing Erza cry made me cry he sounded so hurt and heartbroken.
"We got this" I cried putting my head on his crying. We stayed in this position for hours until a nurse came in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but the police is here" she said letting the police walk in
"Do you guys mind if we talk to you guys somewhere else?" He asked looking over at erion I nodded tapping Erza to get up we followed them out to a ducked off hallway " I know this is a very critical time for you both we just need you guys to answer a few questions if that's okay with you guys" I nodded
"Okay who's house was you guys at and was there a reason?"

"It's okay ma'am we'll just come back when you had the time to process everything here's my card call me when your ready" he said handing me his card I nodded watching them walk down the hallway leaving Erza and I standing there.
"You ready?" Erza asked
"Not really I i I d don't w w wanna leave him" I cried walking into Erza arms
"Come on Baby .. lets go get our kids and go home" I nodded as we walked to the elevator going to the main part everyone was still sitting in there in there own little world. Ari was the first to spot us she quickly walked up to me asking what happened
" I just wanna get my kids and go home" I said shaking my head she nodded as everyone else gathered everything to leave. I walked over to the reception desk so I can tell them where to send erion body.
"Yes ma'am?"
"Hey can you tell Dr.jackie to send his body to new putts funeral home once it leaves the corner office?"
"Aww your the mom of the little boy.... I'm so sorry for you lost" she said touching my hand I smiled nodding walking away.
We all got in Ari car heading back to Leland house. We pulled up within 30 minutes and for it to be going on midnight the police, news and neighbors was still outside. I got out the car ignoring the questions and flashing lights knocking on the door while Erza started the car before coming in
"Come on babies we finna go" I said catching Èire nem attention They was sitting on the couch watching tv
"Mama where bubba?" Èriana asked I nodded pointing to her sandals
"Dang sister I'm so sorry" Leland said walking over to me hugging me I nodded not trynna cry. Erza cane in helping me get the kids
"Breaking news The hospital just confirmed the other person involved in the shooting on 78th and Crawford was just pronounced deceased. Two year old Erion Esteves was caught in the cross fire of two gangs shooting while at a birthday party with friends and family.

"Look momma there go bubba" Èriana laughed pointing to the tv I looked at Leland so he could turn it off
" come on baby" Erza said picking up Èire and Èriana I grabbed Ej hand kissing the side of his face. He had on a big shirt and girl underwear on. I guess Leland put him in the shower since he had blood all over him.
"I love you sister call me if you need me" he said walking them to the car she nodded getting in the car after she put Ej in.
"Momma why they keep taking pictures" Èire asked I shrugged leaning back in my seat our house wasn't that far from Leland's it was actually on 84th and Morgan a few blocks over. We pulled up to the house getting out the car, the kids was sleep just that fast and we wasn't even in the car that long. I grabbed Ej while Erza grabbed the girls I opened the door letting Erza walk in first. I carried Ej to our room I wanted all my kids close to me.
I went to the bathroom turning the shower on so I can get in.
"I love you beautiful" Erza said walking in the bathroom kissing the side of my face
"I love you too" I said barely above a whisper I took my clothes off getting in the shower with Erza. I stood under the shower head letting the water soak my hair. Just thinking about not being able to hold erion no more brought tears to my eyes as I started crying. Erza wrapped his arms around me hugging me tightly I cried not caring about us being under the shower head
"W w what we gon do.... w w w what a a bout bout them" I stuttered Erza pulled us from under the shower head washing me up quickly before doing the same to him getting out. I threw on some of his boxers and his shirt while he threw on some basketball shorts.
"I've been thinking about the funeral" he said making me smack my lips I know it something we have to do but I'm really just in denial right now " hear me out baby.. I don't want them to see him in that light .. I want them to remember all the good memories they had" I nodded getting in the bed I agreed with him I don't want that to be the last image they see if erion but I also want them to have a chance to say their goodbye face to face.
I laid on top of Erza wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Baby?"
"Yes"
"C c can y y y you h h hold me" I cried in his chest not waiting for a answer I felt him wrap his arms around me rocking us back and forth. A few moments later I heard Erza sniffling I kissed the side of his face trynna hold him too. We both ended up crying ourselves to sleep.
