Anna sat in her van. Tonight was date night, her favorite part of the week. And tonight was extra special. Phillip surprised her with tickets to the Utah Symphony. Not only that but a program of Mozart's piano concertos. She sighed. Phillip's ability to sniff out the most romantic things for them to do continued to amaze her. Well, there were a lot of things Phillip did that made her wonder why she had gotten so lucky.

Now that she had reintroduced the kids to Phillip, he'd been spending more time at the house. And it wasn't just when he and Brody went running on Saturday mornings. He liked to just be there, talking with them, helping Zoe with homework or watching her favorite pony cartoons, or just being useful around the house. Even Brody sought Phillip out when he needed something sometimes. She knew Brody was starting to trust that Phillip was going to stick around. Brody was a kid of few words. He usually only ever came to her to complain about something or to ask her for something. Lately, he'd been coming into her room right before bedtime and talking to her about Phillip. Seems their relationship had blossomed with their time together running, and Brody's moods had improved as well.

She looked at the time on her watch. They still had a good couple of hours before they had to be seated but she decided to head into the building anyway. Alice, the department's secretary, was such a nice person and she was fun to talk to so why not wait inside?

"Hi, Anna," Alice said. "Don't you look nice!"

"Thank you," Anna said. "Phillip's taking me to the symphony tonight."

"Oh, that will be extra nice," she said. "He's still in with a patient but if you want hang out here you can wait for him."

Anna parked herself against a row of chairs in the waiting room. "Phillip's been really busy lately, hasn't he?"

"We all have, believe me," Alice said. "He's such a hard worker. You must be proud of him."

"I am," Anna smiled.

From down the hallway she heard men's voices talking and laughing. Phillip escorted a man in fatigues. Phillip's face brightened when he saw Anna sitting there.

"Oh, good, you're here," he said, as he bent over to give her a quick kiss. In a low voice, he said, "You look beautiful and you smell even better." He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"James, if you don't mind, I'd like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Anna."

"Phil, when you said she was beautiful, I didn't think you had such a talent for understatement. How are you, Anna?"

Anna blushed. "I'm doing well, thank you. Just waiting for this guy to get done."

"I won't keep you but it was really nice to finally put a face to a name. Phil talks about you all the time."

He clapped Phillip on the back and walked out the door.
