Although there are several third-party tools to solve Windows bugs that we can use to get out of trouble, the same operating system has already included its own integrated problem solver for some time, which is usually quite efficient in many cases. Now, with the arrival of the most recent update, the May 2019 Update, or Windows 10 version 1903, the problem solver is now able to suggest solutions and solve problems that are found automatically, you can even do it without you find out if you set it up for it. We explain how.
Decide how you want Windows 10 to solve problems
From the Windows 10 configuration, you can choose between several options for the system to solve problems. By default, this is set to ask you before correcting problems, but you can change it.
To do this press the Windows key + I, select Privacy and in the menu on the left click on Comments and diagnosis. Go down to the end of the options until you get the one that says " Recommended troubleshooting procedures ":
There you can change for Windows 10 to correct problems without asking, to correct them automatically but to notify you when doing so, to ask yourself before correcting them, or to only correct critical problems.
If you want to have more control over how and when Windows 10 corrects problems, I recommend that you leave the option that comes by default. If on the contrary, you want Windows to fix itself and bother you as little as possible when it encounters problems, then select " Correct problems without asking ."
How to use the recommended troubleshooting procedures
Now, while Windows 10 is able to solve many problems automatically, there are a number of additional recommended procedures that can indicate you to help improve your experience.
These can be things like installing a new driver from the manufacturer's page How to Get Help in Windows 10 or uninstalling a problematic app for example. These are recommendations that you will have to carry out yourself in some cases.
Simply open Windows 10 Settings by pressing the Windows key + I , select Update and security and in the left menu click on Troubleshoot :
If there are problems in your current version of Windows 10 with troubleshooting recommendations, you will see them immediately Get Help in Windows 10 at the top of the page. Either way, you can browse the full list of problem categories that can help you solve the solver from there.
Note that you can only use the problem solver manually as long as you have not chosen to correct it without asking in the privacy options.
If you have problems with the sound, for example, but Windows does not recommend anything, you can always go to this section and click on Audio playback to find and correct problems:
If all this fails, there are always more things you can try to repair Windows before deciding to format. There is also the option to reset your computer, and soon you can even reinstall Windows from the cloud when there is no more option.
