Mom was right and leah doesn't appreciate it (Mel's Pov)

The next morning Chelsea wakes me and tells me we're getting my wedding dress fitted and altered to me, and then we're going to meet the officiate. I take a bite of the ginger root and let her get me ready for the day. Chelsea leads me to a room with mirrors and a changing screen. Leah, Audrey, Elianna, Catriona and Felix are all sitting on chaise lounges in the room. "The royal tailor has sewn this dress, but she wants to fit you in it and see what needs adjusting." Elianna informs me. I nod and she points me to the changing screen where Chelsea will help me into the dress. So I go behind the screen and undress, then Chelsea puts me in the wedding dress. I walk in front of the mirrors and fight the urge to hurl at the sight. The dress is a pink ball gown style dress, it's got puffy long sleeves. "It's a very lovely dress." Leah comments and I turn to face the others."I think you look stunning in it Melrose." Felix tells me. The tailor fixes a few things and then nods. "It's all good." She tells us.

"Good, then we'll go to the throne room where the officiate will be." Leah says and I turn to her confused. "Don't give me that look Melrose. I knew when you threw a fit about queen Lilavati that you were going to try something. So I'm going to put a stop to that right now." She tells me and Felix comes and takes my arm.The others get up and start to head to the throne room, Felix pulls me behind them. When we reach the throne room the officiate, Felix the first, Ftefan and dad are all standing there. 

"We are here today to see whether or not they're able to be wed by old rule?" The man speaks. "Yes sir." Leah says. "Alright then, first the virginity spell. " The man speaks and then pulls out his book. He says something in latin and waves his hands over Felix, there's an orange glow that surrounds Felix. "This one is not a virgin, who is the one of whom he gave it to?" The officiate asks, turning to his parents. "I believe that it was queen Genari." Elianna answers. "Twas the woman who stands before you, princess Melrose." His father lies. "We'll do a virgin spell on princess Melrose and then I can do a spell who reveals the person they've given their virginity to." He says turning to me. He speaks the same spell in latin and there's a pink glow around me. "She is with child." The officiate says, he then waves his hand over Felix and says another spell in latin, but Felix doesn't light up at all. "He is not her first, and she is not his. Therefore by old rule they are not able to be wed." The officiate announces and then shuts his book. 

"Well then they will be wed without old rule. The wedding will be held in two month." Leah exclaims, giving me a glare. "When her bastard child is born we'll decide what to do with it, short of leaving it on a peasants doorstep." I step forward and look her right in the eyes. "You will do nothing of the sort. The officiate said that I am not a virgin, and by old rule I am obliged to wed the one I've given my virginity to. You have broken the old rule when you brought me here to wed Felix even though I've got the promise ring of another, do you wish to further break the old rule by ignoring the virginity rule?" She laughs. "I have to hand it to you Melrose, I didn't think you would educate yourself on the old rule. Either way this is going to happen, old rule be damned. If you want to raise your child you will go along with it without putting up a fight." "Mother this has gone too far, you will not make threats to my daughter." Dad says stepping in front of me. "I agree, you've taken this way too far." Grandpa Stefan says calmly, coming to stand next to dad. Audrey comes over and places a hand on my shoulder. "Really now, there is no point to this. Felix, have Melrose escorted to a new room, where she will be kept 24/7 until the wedding." Leah orders.

"She will only leave the room for regular doctor visits and dress alterations until then. The only people who will interact with her during alterations, doctor visits and in general will be the ladies in waiting, her fiance, his mother Elianna, his sister Catriona and I. Put her in a room that can only be opened from the outside and only by the people mentioned." Leah demands and Felix the first snaps his fingers and Chelsea and Gretta come over and take me by the elbows. 

"No!" Audrey shouts as they pull me out of the room. They take me to a set of stairs that lead me to a door. They sit me on the bed and go out, closing and locking the door behind them. I look out the window to realize I'm at the highest point of the castle, and that I was just Rapunzeled by Leah. I take my phone out and video call Mal. "Hey what's up?" She asks. "Leah just locked me in a tower and told me that I was gonna be there until the wedding because the officiate said by old rule I'm not able to marry Felix because I'm pregnant. Leah threatened to put the baby out in the streets once it was born if I didn't go along with the marriage without a fight. She's completely given up the old rule." I say. "Hang on what? Mels, you have to let me come and get you. I'll turn into a dragon and breathe fire on anyone who tries to stop me." "No Mal, we have to wait until Felix the first and Leah can be punished for their actions." I stop her with. "We can punish them now, everyone is in outrage over the story you know this. If we go get you and bring you back now they'll be punished. Mels come on." Mal pleas.

The door opens and I hang up and put my phone in my back pocket. "I didn't want to have to do this Melrose but it's for the best." Leah says, coming over and sitting next to me. "I'm your grandmother, I only want the best for you and I do believe that Felix can give you more than your bastard child's father can. And I'm telling you right now, no fuss or fighting against this in any way or I'll make sure your bastard child never knows its true heritage." She says, brushing a lock of hair away from my face. I flinch away and she tsks. "I've sent your father, grandfather and Audrey home. They'll be back for the wedding but right now they'll only be in the way." She then stands back up and starts to head out of the room. 

"You hated my mother for making you miss your child's first everything. Why would you do the same to Ben?" I ask and she stops in her tracks. "Do not compare me to that wretched witch Melrose. Besides, Felix will be a fine father, even though that is not his biological child. I'm sure he will treat it as his own." Leah says softly and then leaves.

 I sigh and text Mal. 'No video calling anymore, texting only. I can't have Leah catch me with the phone or she might take it from me.' 'Alright, but please just say the word and I'll be there in an instant.' She replies. 'Okay Mal. Love you.' I text and then put my phone back in my pocket. There's a knock and then in walks Elianna. "I've brought you your charger, I saw you smuggle your phone in your dress fold. I'm sorry that your grandmother is making you do this, and threatening your child if you don't. I couldn't imagine what I'd do if anyone threatened my unborn child." She says comfortingly. "Thank you." I tell her. "Trust me, I will help you in any way that I can. Leah has done nothing but caused fighting amongst our family. I know my son's heart is with Lilavati, but my husband doesn't like her. My husband and my son have never seen eye to eye on anything, and my son has tried his whole life to make his father proud." She tells me.

 "I understand how that goes..." I say trailing off. "I'll let you get some rest, Chelsea and Gretta have been assigned to you and Lilavati has been sent back to her kingdom. Gretta and Chelsea are working under me and will not take any orders from Leah, they also won't tell her anything that you tell them, they'll bring it straight to me." She says before standing and walking out.
