Chapter 29

Lilian

6 months later...

I couldn't believe after several months of waiting, I was finally going to live in peace. I wouldn't have to be scared of being harm or my loved ones.

My precious daughter was six months and  it makes me so happy to see her grow up. She's such a beautiful girl.

Evelyn, indeed looks so much like her father, Chris! She had his face features and his attitude, but all above she's a really happy baby! Now I believe that saying when, people say that after carrying a baby for nine months and he/she will eventually look like the father. And, I don't mind that my precious daughter looks like him.

Just to think that what happened six months ago, had changed my live forever.

I was really close by loosing the love of my life.
After that incident that had happened Christopher's life was in danger, but I knew our love would help him go through and even though nobody believed he would make it through he did! 

Doctors had given us low percentage of him making it out of surgery. I had never in my life  prayed so much like I did that day. I was scared to loose him. There was no day, that I wouldn't leave the hospital. I was broken into two pieces because as much as I wanted to be with Christopher, I needed to be with my daughter as well. I wanted to have them both by my side, but it was so hard!

All the flashbacks of what had happened and how I had met him brought a smile. Whenever we met at the bar, how we ended up in his house and how I also reacted whenever I met him at my house. I knew at that instinct that he had to make it through. We had a beautiful daughter and a whole life ahead of us. I couldn't just sit there in cry, I had to be strong for my family and for Chris.

Chris woke up two weeks after his surgery, which surprised the doctors cause he had very low chances of waking up after the surgery.

Raphael, was sentenced for all his crimes and will no longer harm my family or anyone else.

I was in the kitchen, looking through the window at Chris and our daughter looking at the ducks and thinking about how lucky I was.
I'm glad our daughter has such a loving father, that will protect her from anything!

I didn't realize Chris and Evelyn were in the kitchen until I heard her giggle.

"What are you thinking about beautiful?"

"On how lucky I am to have you!"

"I'm the lucky one my love to have you both. You have not only given me another reason to live, but you also given me a beautiful daughter.

"I love you, Chris."

"I love you more."

Soon we were interrupted by one of the maids

"Mr Hernandez your parents are here"

"Thank you, we will be right out."

"There they are look how precious you guys look as a family." Chris mother's tells us as we come out of the kitchen.

"Hello mom and dad, why are you guys here so early?"

"Well son as you know you guys will be getting married and a few days and as you know you can't be with the bride a day before. And I  also Came to help Lilian out with the last plans before the wedding and to see my beautiful granddaughter."

"Mother I think it's best if Lilian and our daughter stay with me instead of doing that tradition"

"Oh trust me dear, I'm not having you break that tradition"

A day before the wedding my mother in-law got us to stay the night at my parents and Chris at his parents.

Just before I was about to put Evelyn in her crib I heard my phone go off.

"Well Mr Hernandez, It's been thirty minutes and you already miss us"

"I know it's been just thirty minutes, but I can't help it. I miss my queen and princess. I feel empty without my girls."

"We miss you too!"

" how about I go get you girls"

"Are you crazy, Chris. Do you know how mad your mother and mine would be..."

"I know, but screw that tradition. I need you guys hear with me"

"It's just one night, babe. Anyways sweet dreams. I'll see you in a few hours."

"Fine, my queen. I love you. And don't worry I'll be dreaming on making love to you."

With that we ended our call...

Just few more hours and we will be together as husband and wife.

I was to excited and nervous at the same time with all the wedding preparations, but before I knew it I was already asleep.
