————- Tanjiro had taken me to his master Urokodaki, who taught me the ways of a demon slayer. I trained everyday until I was ready for final selection.
Today was the day, I was finally ready to participate in final selection. Urokodaki had given me the mask he gave all of his students, he gave me a prep talk and said his goodbyes.
"(Y/n)!" Tanjiro said running towards me. "Please be careful, don't let your guard down...be safe okay."
"Tanjiro...calm down. I'm ready for this. Both you and Urokodaki trained me I'm guaranteed to survive 7 days in a demon infested mountain," I said as he sighed.
"Okay.......I'll miss you (y/n). Make sure you come back straight after," he said still worrying.
"Don't worry..I'll come back," I said. He hugged me for what felt like forever. "I'll be sure to think of you and Urokodaki."
Urokodaki and Tanjiro both waved as I set off to the mountains. Final selection had come.

I slowly walked into the room he was in, he was sitting practising his total concentration breathing before he noticed me. His red eyes widened before he quickly got up and ran towards me.
"(Y/n) you made it! You passed final selection!" Tanjiro said embracing me into a tight hug, I laughed hugging him back.
"Yes, and it all because of you and Urokodaki." I said before being taken back when I felt someone touch my leg.
"Nezuko! You're finally awake," i said looking down at Nezuko who was smaller than usual probably because she shrunk herself.
"I see you've passed final selection, I'm proud of you (y/n)," Urokodaki said with his mask still on, which wasn't surprising...he never took it off.
"Without your training I wouldn't have passed."
"I'm sure you still would've passed even without my assistance, both you and Tanjiro are very talented and I now have hope that Muzan will be defeated some day," Urokodaki said before he have me and Tanjiro some Unagi he prepared.

Before I knew it Tanjiro and I were summoned to Mount Natagumo, with a few other Demon Slayers Zenitsu and Inosuke who were the same rank as us.
Tanjiro introduced me to them, the three of them all met previously on mission at a mansion that had been reported of having a demon roaming within.
Zenitsu wouldn't stop asking me to marry him, but I could sense jealousy coming from Tanjiro who would occasionally glare at Zenitsu. Inosuke must've realised to because he was looking back and forth at Tanjiro and I.
"Hmm," Inosuke said before continuing to walk towards Mount Natagumo.
"Please, (y/n)-chan! Marry me, I could die soon, please marry me," Zenitsu wined.
"That's enough Zenitsu, you're annoying her," Tanjiro said coldly, which took me by surprise he never once spoke to anyone that way.
The rest of the walk was silent until we reached the entrance to the mountain and someone ran towards them begging for help before an unknown force pulled him back into the forest.
Both Tanjiro and Inosuke ran and I followed, leaving Zenitsu behind who was scared as usual. We then found a demon slayer named Murata who explained that when he and other slayers were sent to the mountain and everyone suddenly began killing each other.
They seemed to be possessed by a demon who controlled them using strings, Inosuke sliced the strings that the slayers were attached to but tiny spiders reattached themselves to the demon slayers.
A white haired demon boy appeared stand on tiny threads above us.
"No one will stop the five of us from living as a happy family, mother will take care you guys," He said before leaving.
"We need to find mother, she must be the one controlling the Demon Slayers," I said, Inosuke then used his Spiritual Awareness to locate mother.
"I'll stay back and help handle the possessed demon slayers, you guys go find Mother!" Murata said struggling with a demon slayer.
"I'll stay and help too," I said.
"No!" Tanjiro said loudly. "I mean....I don't want you to get..hurt."
"I'll be fine Tanjiro, Murata can't handle these crazy demon slayers by himself," I said kinda touched by how concerned he was.
Before I could grab my sword Tanjiro did something bold, something I never thought he would do...he...kissed me.
"Be safe (y/n)," Tanjiro said before running off with Inosuke. The look in his eyes was the look of concern, Tanjiro was truly a pure soul so kind and caring.
