I Remember Him

I remember all the fighting,

The screaming and the yelling.

I remember all the crying,

Of why He couldn't he change.

I remember being locked in a room,

Playing games with my brother and sister.

I remember Him never being home,

Leaving the family alone.

I remember wondering why?

Why weren't we good enough?

But the biggest hurt,

The biggest downfall,

Is that I don't remember,

Dad saying "I love you"

At all.
