Summary: Angel is a prototype. Designed and built to resemble a human, she is programmed to think herself far inferior to them. Her emotions are just digital codes and a robot's life is worth nothing compared to a human's... or so they say.
Review: Angel is a prototype, designed and built to resemble a human. She is programmed to think herself far inferior to them, her emotions being merely digital codes. They say a robot's life is worth nothing compared to a human's, and she believes it. Or so she thinks.
What happens when Angel discovers what her final test is supposed to be? Can she choose between her best friend and recharge-bot Mara and her only human companion Dr. Holt, the only human who treats her less like a robot and more like a person?
With easy to understand language and natural dialogue, the story is fast-paced and heart-touching. Taking on themes of natural intelligence, the author does a great job following the compassionate relationship between a human and a robot as it blooms into subtle romance. The story ends on a positive note, leaving the readers craving more.
If gentle romance, and humane and emphatic stories are of your liking, Angel is definitely a story you will want to read over and over again.
