Parked in a dark alley, I watched as Jasmine Willard walked across the street towards her apartment complex. She quickly glanced in both directions before finally unlocking the security door to the building.

"Who is she watching for?" I wondered out loud while Nick continued loading his clip with bullets.

"I'm sure Alessandro warned her to keep a close watch for suspicious activity before entering the building. Especially since he's inside."

It's way past the time we dealt with Lorenzo's family problem. We should be more focused on the bigger threat—those bastard Russians. The sooner that we hand over Alessandro to Lorenzo, the sooner we can focus more on figuring out who stole the USB chip that I'm convinced holds all the answers to my questions.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. DJ sent me a vague message before I arrived, " Cole mentioned from the back seat.

"What did it say?" Nick asked, glancing at him through the rearview mirror.

"Just how he had a big surprise waiting for Damien once we're finished up here." Cole shrugged, tossing two black ski masks at us.

I slipped the thick nylon fabric over my face, adjusting it so I could see out of it, and unlatched the safety on my gun. "God, I sure hope that it's a good surprise for once instead of more bullshit."

"Me too, boss." Nick sighed.

"Ready?" I asked them once we stepped out of the SUV. They both nodded.

"We've got Noah posted on the rooftop of the building across from the apartment complex. He's got the front entrance covered." Cole whispered once we finally reached the back of the entrance of the building.

Nick quickly crouched to one knee, pulled out a small black pouch that held small tools that he used to pick locks, and went right to work on unlocking the door.

Hearing the click of the lock unlatching, Nick stood and smirked. "Easy-peasy." he chuckled.

Entering the building, the smell of urine and smoke hit my nose instantly.

"Fuck," Cole complained, gagging.

Nick snickered, "Pussy."

Cole flipped him off, "Suck my dick."

We dodged piles of garbage and chunks of rotten debris from the tiled flooring. Why the hell is this place locked up like this? This had to of been done by Alessandro.

My eyes wandered up the peeling walls and I immediately froze when I spotted a small black camera in the corner above the stairs.

"Shit, look." I pointed up to it. "He's got cameras watching everyone that enters." The clever bastard.

"What do you want us to do, boss? "Cole asked.

Eyes scanning the walls, I continued to follow the cord's direction until it disappeared into the ceiling, "There's only one camera."
