"Are you sure about this Kazuichi? This sounds like a bad idea." I quietly said as we walked closer to Titty typhoon.
"I mean why does Ibuki need you to fix her instruments, and wait a second! Aren't you a mechanic?" I asked in a annoyed tone.

Kazuichi had pulled me out of bed to go help Ibuki out with her instruments at 6:00 this morning and I was exhausted. We had stayed out at the movies until about 11:00 pm and stayed out even longer talking until 1:00 in the morning.

I rubbed my eyes sleepily remembering how tired the other boy had been yesterday morning.
I wondered where he was.
These strange thoughts kept invading my brain and didn't seem to want to leave.

I was confused by them but sometimes let them take my train of thought.
"I need help with fixing Ibuki's guitar and yeah I am a mechanic it can't be that hard to fix an electric guitar, I mean it's like a race car right?" I gave him a confused stare.
Why had I agreed to this?
We continued along finally making it to the large doors in front of us, they were intimidating but held memories in the inside.
"Ahhh! I-Ibuki I don't t-think that's right..." I heard a loud ka-boom as we entered.
Instruments were scattered everywhere and Mikan was on the floor holding her knee in pain crying while Ibuki was crying of laughter.

Yep this seems about right this early in the morning.

Mikan had fell into a position which I averted my eyes to not embarrass her more.
"Mikan how do you always end up like that?" Kazuichi asked in a worried tone.
I extended a hand for her to take and she quickly grabbed my hand as I pulled her to a stance.

"Kazuichi! You promised Ibuki you would help her with her guitar!" Ibuki practically screamed.
Kazuichi backed up in fear whining.
"I know! I know! look I got my tools right here, don't worry about it!" He played it off cool pulling out a tool box.

But I already had a growing fear he was about to destroy an instrument. And not just any practical instrument, but Ibuki's prized instrument.
He knelt down pulling out the small red tool box he had carried here.

Opening it up there were many tools, some small and wide some big and sharp. He also had a variety of hammers, wrenches, and some other metal tools I didn't know the name of.
Ibuki ran over to the stage grabbing her guitar and placing it down in front of Kazuichi.

The guitar didn't look to bad, at least not yet to say the least. It had a few strings broken and the pegs looked twisted a bit. Why she had asked Kazuichi to help her fix her special guitar I didn't know, but I did know that in the next hour or so that, that somewhat broken guitar was going to be a tornado of damage guitar.

I silently sat down as Mikan approached me smiling over at Ibuki as she critiqued everything Kazuichi did to the broken guitar.

"You really like her, huh?" I could tell by the way they looked at each other they were more than just best friends. It was surprising though they were so different yet so close.
"W-What d-do you m-mean?" She stuttered a little startled by the remark.
Maybe I had been wrong? I didn't want her to think I came across as mean so I tried to make up for it.

"You two just seem to be super close, that's all." I awkwardly looked away.
Why did I always make it awkward?
I mentally slapped myself as we continued to watch Kazuichi pick up a wrench and then put it down scratching his head in confusion.

"So, what else is here to do while those two....try and fix Ibuki's guitar ?" I questioned Mikan and she pointed to a storage room by the baton on the stage. It had a dark black covering and the storage room was engulfed in darkness. It was actually a bit scary but Mikan was there so I wasn't that scared when we walked over.

Opening the storage room it revealed many instruments Ibuki had pulled out. Mikan plucked a string on the acoustic guitar and began humming a song, a few words slipped out as we looked around the instrument filled room. To what it sounded like she had a pretty good voice, and I was sad she hadn't shared it with us but I also didn't want to pressure her so I didn't say anything.

I stepped out of the storage unit and looked around. The stage was empty except for a single microphone and an empty guitar stand. Ibuki was still pounding Kazuichi with her questions about the guitar he had no idea how to fix, and his worried expression said it all.

I looked over at a grand piano that was in the corner. I hadn't noticed it the first time I was here but I walked over to it and lifted the cover over the black and white majestic keys. It was a really good piano but I doubted it was in tune.

I had played the piano a bit when I was younger but had never gotten any good at it. I pressed my finger down on the A key as I heard Ibuki shriek. It must had startled her, I had forgotten they were in the room. I played the keys that I assumed were in tune.

I sat down and played the only song I had remembered it was a really sad piece called gymnopédie by Erick Satie. I didn't know why I had remembered the name or the piece but for some reason it stuck in my brain. I let my hands guide itself while making a few mistakes here and there along the way. I stopped playing and turned around to see how the guitar was doing
I looked and saw Ibuki's face lighting up at me, while Kazuichi looked surprised at me.

"Hajime, Ibuki did not know you could play music." She smiled and cheered.
"It's actually been a long time since I played. Wow, I must have been about 12 the last time I touched a piano." I crossed my arms in embarrassment.
"Then how do you remember it so well?" She questioned quietly looking back down at the red block Kazuichi's hand rested on. I sat back thinking about it, where had I heard about that song?

I just couldn't seem to remember.

I heard Kazuichi call out Ibuki's name in a scared tone.

Oh god this couldn't be good....
Ibuki looked over and yelled at the top of her lungs.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO IBUKI'S GUITAR!" She screamed.

"I-It wasn't my fault I told you I can only do mechanical stuff..." Kazuichi trailed off as he jumped up running out the door, Ibuki chased after him holding ugly ripped up guitar strings, they were gone in the span of seconds.

I stood in shock when I looked down at the poor guitar. It's whole strings had been ripped out and destroyed, I wished Kazuichi wouldn't had touched it though. But it was a little too late for that now.

I knew it wouldn't end well, and I was right from the start.
Mikan stepped next to me shaking her head slightly.
"I-I guess I better g-go get h-her before she k-kills him." She smiled lightly before waving off to go get Ibuki. I waved left alone again, but I was used to it.

I stood in the silent room thinking to myself.
I took a look back at the grand piano, I couldn't grasp it but a faint memory of a piano song played through my head the exact one I had played just a few minutes earlier.

Why did I remember that song so well?

All I could think about was the song playing beautifully in my head, who had been playing that song?

The happy memory seeped into my brain as I walked out the door leaving behind the broken guitar.

I should go find Kazuichi.
