-Spark-

The moment I saw her I knew I had fallen in love. Her dark brown wavy hair, bright blue eyes, her hands, that fit so perfectly into mine.

I never thought I'd experience love. I've never had the time.

Then she came into my life and turned everything upside down. With her fiery attitude, her admirable spirit.

Her determination, to help others before herself.

When I saw her in that meadow, just outside of town one summer morning.
I couldn't look away.

The way she carried herself, even though she was on her own was proud and powerful. Showing her true beauty.

She was wearing a yellow summer dress, that ended at her knees in a billowy skirt, that twirled whenever she moved.

She had been walking amongst the tall grass and flowers. Picking some and decorating her braided hair.

Then, she turned and saw me watching from inside a cluster of trees.
She glared at me and spoke. "Who are you?"

I looked at her bewildered. "I am...Michael."

She nodded. "What are you doing here
Michael?"

For once I was at a loss of words.
She looked at me and smiled. "Come.
Help me." She said gesturing towards an apple tree.

I followed her obediently. "Up there." She said pointing to the very top. "I need those apples. Give me a boost?"

I looked at her astounded. She didn't want me to get them she wanted to get them herself.

Silently I boosted her up into the tree.
Watching as she fearlessly scaled the branches, until she reached the top.

She started picking some apples but suddenly lost her balance. Then started tumbling down...down...down.

Not even thinking I flew up and caught her. Slowly descending to the ground.

She looked up at me, not even the least bit shocked. "Angel? Well that could make life interesting."

I looked down at her, smiling. Little did I know she would become one of the most important people in my immortal life. My Angela.

I put the book down.

Covering my face with my hands I take slow, deep breaths.

I can't believe it. My mom knew about Michael and never told me. Did she tell Ember?

I stand up and walk over to the
window. Letting the suns rays soak into my skin, warming me.

"I-is something wrong princess?" Dalton asks hesitantly from behind me. I turn around and smile.

"No. No. Everything is just fine. Just a little shocked that's all." I reassure him.

"Ah." He says as if he understands what I going through. "You see I am not an angel. No I'm a prophet."

"A prophet? You see the future?" I question.

"Only sometimes. If I'm close to someone or something. If I know them really well. Michael. Came to me many years ago and asked me to come with him and be the head keeper of all Heavens wisdom." He tells me proudly.

"Wow. That must of been quite the honour." I proclaim.

"Yes indeed it was, now here is my pint of all this." He says taking my hand. "Just because you're learning something new doesn't mean everything has changed. Only your knowledge has grown. Don't see it as the world changing see it as you understanding it better." With that, he toddles off back to his desk and I'm left alone by the window.

What he says is true. The world hasn't changed. I only understand it better than before.

I should continue to absorb all the knowledge I can so I can see the world how it is supposed to be seen.

With a new found confidence. I walk back over to the table and open up the journal once again.

Ready to understand the world better. Not just for me, but for everyone I care about as well.
