Avery's hand pressed against her slightly bulged stomach as she sat in her office, listening to the conversation Dean was having with the mysterious person on the other side of the phone.
"No, I am not doing this again, I did the first drop, I'm not doing a second!" he whisper-yelled into the phone. "I'm done doing your dirty work. Oh, shut up, I don't want to hear about how you saved my ass in prison-"
There was a breath before he continued. "Fine, fine, okay, I'll do it!"
She pulled her notepad and pen, ready to write down the location. "Yes, I understand. 256 Westwood Drive, drop it in the mailbox. One kilo, got it."
Her eyes widened. Drug? He was moving drugs?
She watched Dean throw his bag over his shoulder and leave the office.
She put the headphones down and stood up, dialing Hotch's number as she followed Dean down his car.
"Hey, Aaron," she said into the phone. "Want to stop a gang from moving drugs?"

She sat outside of Dean's apartment building, watching three men walk up the stairs and disappear into his apartment. The door opened to her car, making her jump as Morgan sat in the passenger seat.
"Jesus, scare me next time?"
"That's a promise," Morgan chuckled. "How are you, Avery?"
"I'm okay."
His eyes fell down to hand on her stomach before she pulled it away, not drawing attention to the growing stomach.
"So, what's the case with this new boss?"
"I bugged his office," she said to him as her other doors opened and Reid and JJ sat in. Newly profiler JJ. "Not against the law so don't even give me that. I heard him talk on the phone about dropping a kilo and I have an address."
"You bugged his office?" Reid asked, trying to meet her eyes.
"He started leaving work early, being weird, not being the normal Dean everyone was used to," Avery replied. "Garcia gave me a bug and I put it in his office. I've been out of the office for the past few days so I haven't been able to listen."
"Why were you out of the office for the past few days?" Reid asked.
"None of your business."
Everyone had noticed that the pair had broken up. Reid was suffering for it at work and everyone could see it.
Morgan's phone rang and he picked it up. "Hey, babygirl, no, we're sitting outside his apartment."
Morgan put her on speaker. "He's not there. His phone is moving towards what I think to be the drop location."
Avery shook her head. "He spotted us."
She put the car in drive and let Hotch drive in front of her to practically escort her through the city. "Hotch wants Morgan and JJ to be with him when they make the arrest, Reid stay with Avery, make sure they don't see her."
Avery rolled her eyes as Reid moved to the front seat, leaving the two alone. She reached out and grabbed the mic from his ear, putting it in hers.
They waited five minutes before they intervened and arrested him. "You're under arrest, I need you to put the bag down and put your hands in the air."
"They'll kill me!"
"No, they won't, we will protect you from them," Morgan said. "Just put the bag down."
Avery couldn't see but soon she heard the sound of handcuffs and knew that it over. They took Dean back to the FBI building to get his full confession and statement while Avery wrote her report on what she learned that led up to this.
"Avery, can I speak to you?" Reid asked her, shoving his hands in his pocket.
The team watched the two walk out and into the lobby of the BAU floor.
"I know that you said you want this to end-" he said to her, the team watching through the doors. "But, Avery, I know something is wrong. Something is different."
Millions of thoughts ran through Avery's head, the original plan, the difference in their lives if she tells him. Tell him.
Her hand went to her stomach. "Spencer, I'm pregnant."
His mouth fell open in shock and he met her eyes. "You're serious?"
She nodded as tears filled her eyes. "I understand if you don't want-"
"Wait, wait, no," he said to her. "Is this why you pushed me away? Because you don't think I want to raise a baby with you?"
Avery nodded and let the tears slip down her cheeks. Reid grabbed her shoulder and pulled her into his chest, hugging her so tightly.
"Some people never get the chance to settle down and have kids here," he said as she dug her face in his chest and sighed, listening to his heartbeat. "But it would be a dream to raise this baby with you, Avery."
She pulled back and met his eyes. "Really? I was scared that you weren't ready. That work was more important."
"There's always work, and there'll always be work. What's rare is finding someone who makes us happy," he said, setting his forehead against hers. "I love you so much. And I'll love our baby girl even more."
"How do you know it's a girl?" She chuckled, kissing his lips quickly.
He shrugged and smiled at her. "Doctor's intuition."
She looked past him, seeing the entire team looking at them, trying their hardest to profile the couple. "Should we tell them?"
Reid nodded and took her hand, pulling her towards his friends and teammates. "You two back together already? I just lost twenty bucks."
Avery sent Morgan a look and he only laughed. Everyone's eyes were on the two as they waited for some kind of explanation.
Avery laughed as Reid nudged her but the only thing that came out was laughter.
Reid wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled the biggest grin. "We're pregnant!"
