08. First Date

It was finally the weekend. Even though, I enjoyed the hero course and made many new friends, I needed a break. It felt great to sleep in again, no alarms and no need to rush to get my stuff together.
Bakugo and I made it official two days ago, we had decided not to tell anyone. He didn't want anyone up in his business and I just wanted it to be a surprise.
I had snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my phone buzz from the nightstand. I reached for it and checked whatever it was, which was very hard since I had just woken up.

I gasped and immediately sat up. Wow, it really was noon. Can't believe I slept this long. Either way, I got up and picked out a nice outfit for the day. Once I was done looking presentable, I went downstairs and was immediately greeted by my parents.

"It's about time you woke up" my mom said from the couch, and turned to my dad "Ha! She woke up at noon, you owe me a nice expensive dinner date"
My dad groaned "Why couldn't you have woken up at 3"
I shrugged my shoulders "Jeez, sorry!"
"Are you going somewhere?" My mom asked "You look like you're trying to impress someone"
My cheeks started to heat up "No! My— my friend invited me somewhere" I lied, I don't know but I just didn't feel comfortable telling them I had a boyfriend
"Exciting! There's food in the kitchen if you want to eat something—"

She was cut off by knocking on the door. That must be him. Has it really been an hour?

"Uh... I'll get going, be back later!"

I dashed to the door and opened it only to reveal the one and only Bakugo Katsuki. I smiled at him and stepped out of my house.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I immediately reached for his hand
"Somewhere" He answered intertwining our hands,
"Am I dressed appropriately?" I started questioning, he looked down at what i'm wearing. I started to feel self conscious when Bakugo didn't take his eyes off of me, I guess he must've noticed since he stopped staring and looked forward.
"You look... beautiful"
My cheeks started to burn from his compliment "Huh?"
"Oi! Don't make me repeat myself, I know you heard me! You look fucking beautiful" he repeated himself after he said he wouldn't
I chuckled, "Thank you, Katsuki" I took a glance at what he was wearing, might as well compliment him too, right? "You know, black is really your color. You should wear it more often"
"Tsk, were always in school. How do you want me to wear black?" He looked down at me
"Our dates!" I quickly said making him blush a little making me chuckle, "So... where are we going?"
"If you're going to be asking that every minute, I'm just gonna go home and leave you here"
I sighed "Fine, I guess I'll stay in suspense"

We had to take the train because apparently it was far away, I was wondering where he was taking me... Maybe he wanted to murder me for real and hide my body somewhere and that's why we're far away. No... He's not capable of that, even though he says it all the time.

"Katsuki, where are we really going? Are we lost?" I questioned
"No were not lost! Are you doubting me?" He said in his rough yet sexy voice "Listen, freak witch, it's suppose to be a surprise. I'm not good with this lovey dovey shit" he pouted

My heart clenched. Even though we were still holding hands, I let go for a brief second and attacked him in a hug. He was still slow and confused on how to react to these forms of affection, but eventually he placed both of his arms around me.

"You're really warm, has anyone told you that?" I said out loud ruining the moment, he clenched his teeth and growled lowly.
"It's because of the explosions" he calmly said, "Let's get going then, freak witch"

I let go and we continued to our journey. Eventually, the view came into place making me gasp.

"The aquarium?!" I almost shouted "This is the biggest aquarium they have in Japan and you get to feed the dolphins!"
"Useless Deku said this is where you've been wanting to go for a while" he replied
I grinned and turned to him, "You asked Izuku?"
"So what if I fucking did?!"

He was ready to go off since I called him out, I just chuckled and started to drag him to the aquarium faster. He paid for our entrances, even though I begged him to let me pay since he payed for me since our ice cream day. We walked around and saw the variety of aquatic animals, which was pretty cool. We kept going from place to place and we weren't even half way through walking around the whole aquarium.

I turned to Katsuki since I was pretty much dragging him behind me "Do you wanna go to a specific habitat?"
He shook his head, "They all look weird and ugly"
"No they're not!" I argued "Look at this one, it's colorful and small"
"Weird"
"Hmph, you wanna go see the big boy fishes"
"Oi! I'm not a baby—"
"You sure act like it sometimes" I cut him off "Come on! I want to touch the starfishes!"

I grabbed his hand and guided him to the starfish habitat. Eventually, he lightened up at the little fishes. We got to touch some other aquatic animals, feed the dolphins and other fishes, and lastly we got little souvenirs. As we were making our way to the exit, I saw a photo booth. I gasped and went over to it.

"Katsuki! C'mere! I wanna take some photos!" I shouted excitedly, I pulled the curtain back and slid inside.
"Do we fucking have to?" He groaned
"Please~~ Before we go"

He looked at me for a second and without any hesitation, Katsuki made his way over to me and sat down. I quickly paid the machine and pressed start.
The screen started to countdown from 3 and I didn't know what to do. My mind went blank for a second and soon enough the first flash went off. I think I was smiling? Who knows, but I wrapped my arms around Katsuki's neck and smiled, the second flash went off. Like I said before, Katsuki didn't react fast enough to these affectionate gestures. So when the third flash went off, he had his hands around my waist. I took a brief look at his handsome features and couldn't help but to kiss his cheek. I didn't pull away until the last flash went off and when it did, I looked at his reaction. His cheeks were red and his eyes were widened.

I chuckled getting his attention "Sorry... I couldn't help it"
He looked down "It's fine... I— tsk, I actually liked it" he formed a small smile

The photos were done being processed and got our copies. The first shot was us being awkward, second was me wrapping my arms around Katsuki and him looking fairly surprised, third he was smiling and had his hands around my waist, and last shot was me kissing his cheek and him looking fairly surprised.

"Look" I showed Katsuki our pictures "It'll be a memory from our first date"
He took the pictures from me and examined them carefully, "Agh! I'm getting that weird fucking feeling on my stomach again"
I smiled "Here, you keep two and I keep the other two" Just as I was about to split the picture he stopped me
"Don't... the set looks fucking nice, don't ruin it. We can always go to other places and take more"
I gasped "Are you saying we'll go on more dates?!"
His calm demeanor changed "Fucking obviously, freak witch!"
"Can't wait" I kissed his cheek off guard "Lets go before it gets too late"
