Naruto's POV
I couldn't sleep thinking about tomorrow. Should I compete or wait. No I'll wait, with that I fell asleep. I woke up to my alarm blaring. I looked over and saw Irene and Brandish asleep.
"Wake up you two." I shook both of them hearing them groan.
"Come on we have day 2 of the Magic Games today, so we have to go." I told them seeing them both nod and slowly getting up.
I grabbed my cloak and shoes putting them on heading to the guild with Irene and Brandish.
"So, Naruto are you gonna compete today." Brandish asked
"Hm, I thought about it. Probably tomorrow." I said opening the guilds door seeing everyone laughing and smiling.
"What took you so long dope." Sasuke says smirking
"I don't know." I shrugged it off
"Naruto you mind if I grab a word with you." Makarov said
"Sure master." I said following him into his office closing the door.
"What's up master?" I asked sitting down across from him
"What made you wanna compete in the Games? From what I heard you haven't competed in the past seven years." He asked
"I don't know Master. I've been more focused on getting the guild more money, plus I haven't really thought on competing in the last seven years." I said honestly
"Hm, well thank you Naruto. Come on you have a game to compete." He said walking to the door
I smiled and turned towards the window not seeing anything.
'I felt it too, boy.' Kurama said from my head
'Guess Zeref is making his move.' I reply back to Kurama
'Be careful Naruto.' Kurama says
I nod following Makarov out of his office.
"FAIRY TAIL LET'S WIN THE MAGIC GAMES!!!!" Makarov yelled sending everyone cheering.
We all left for the stadium, I kept getting the feeling Zeref was gonna crash the games. I shook off the feeling arriving into the teams box.
"Hello everyone, Welcome to Day 2 of the Grand Magic Games, I'm your announcer Chapati Lola joined with Mr. Yajima from the Council." He says
"Pleased to be here." Yajima says softly
"The second day's event is Chariot. In this game, the participants are made to run along the tops of interconnected chariots, which start at one end of Crocus and end at the Grand Magic Games Arena. Magic can be used at any time to help the competitors reach the goal faster or hinder the other competitors. Falling off the chariots will result in disqualification. The winner is the Mage that reaches the Grand Magic Games Arena first. Send out 1 constant." Mato says
"I got this guys." Gajeel says
"Good luck Gajeel." I tell him and he nods walking into the arena to see Natsu and Sting.
"LET THE GAME BEGIN!!!" Mato shouted
We watched as the new guy from Quatro Cerberus zoomed straight through the moving like vehicles, followed by that guy Kurohebi from Raven Tail, with Risley Law following behind, Yuka and Ichiya were neck and neck for 4th place, with Natsu, Gajeel, and Sting dying from motion sickness. We all sweat dropped watching them crawl to the finish line.
"6th PLACE NATSU DRAGNEEL!!!!" Announced Mato
"Our first point." Natsu breathed out
"7th PLACE GAJEEL REDFOX!!!!!" Mato said and all Gajeel did was smile about it
