Gerard stared at the lilac sky, the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves being the only sound. His chest ached from being alone, and he craved having someone beside him. He wanted someone to hold and love, but he stayed alone and cold at night. The tall boy shifted on the roof as he listened to the wind, before it was interrupted by the slight banging of metal on the walls. Patrick clambered onto the roof, a pout on his face as he was struggling to not drop two mugs of hot chocolate along with two fluffy pink blankets

"What're you doing up here, darling?" Gerard asked in a soft voice, causing Patrick's cheeks to flash a light pink as he tossed the blankets up next to the dark haired boy. It wasn't uncommon for Patrick to show up out of the blue, since they were both neighbors and went to the same school. Gerard often thought Patrick was a real sweetheart, and Patrick thought the same about Gerard. The smaller boy often felt his tummy bubble up with affectionate emotions when he thought about Gerard, and it did nothing but become more obvious when he was around him.

"I saw you looking sad so I wanted to come help you feel better." Patrick replied simply as he set the mugs of hot chocolate down with the blankets before pulling the rest of his body up onto the flat part of the roof, sitting next to Gerard.

Gerard's smiled fondly at the shorter boy, watching as Patrick held his tongue between his teeth as he carefully draped a fluffy pink blanket over Gerard's shoulders and slid a plain white mug to the taller boy. Patrick quickly wrapped a blanket around himself before grabbing his own mug (which happened to be a light pink one).

"What gave you the idea that I was sad, Sugar?" Gerard responded curiously, glancing over at the blonde boy, who was sipping on the dark and warm liquid. "You were looking at the sky strange. Like you wanted to join the angels in the sky..." Patrick said softly, looking up at the sky himself. He loved the beautiful colors it displayed, and he loved watching them glide by and go dark from his window, but watching Gerard alone made his heart ache in a strange way

Gerard quietly sipped from his own mug, watching as the sky slowly started to fade into darker colors. "Are you sad?" Patrick asked in a soft voice. The taller boy stayed quiet for a second before nodding. "Yeah... I'm not feeling too well..." He responded in a hushed voice. He heard a bit of shifting beside him before he felt Patrick's small, warm body press against his side. Gerard could feel his own face start to slightly warm up.
He glanced down at the boy, who was cuddled up to him. He could feel a small smile grace his lips as he wrapped his arm around Patrick, sliding it over his shoulders to keep him close

"The sky looks so pretty from up here." Patrick said in a whisper, his eyes trained on the sky rather than the boy beside him. Gerard looked over at Patrick, before facing the sky again. "It sure does." he responded in the same tone as Patrick, as if they were sharing secrets.

The light color in the sky has faded to a dark blue, and the moon was out with the stars. Patrick looked up at Gerard, and felt his breath hitch in his throat. He looked so...beautiful. The reflection of the moon glowed in Gerard's eyes, and his light pink lips seemed so kissable.

"How do you feel now?" Patrick quietly asked.

He watched Gerard look down at him, affection and adoration swirling in his hazel eyes.

"Better now that you're here."
