We drove to the pack house slowly, buying as much time as we still could. Even Brooke was telling Liam to drive slower, though her mate was at the pack house. I guess it really is hoes before bros and bitches before hitches.
We pulled in the driveway of the house and just stared at the house. Nobody wanted to get out or go through with this. Especially me.
I began thinking about the past few weeks. Even though I had repeatedly rejected Tyler's advances, he still kept trying. It was both stupid and kind of romantic in a weird way. I still hated him with a passion, though.
Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. I sure as hell wasn't going through this without a fight. There's nothing they can do to me that's worse than this anyway.
What we did next, well, I don't know what we were thinking.
"Honk the horn," I said.
"What?" Liam asked.
"Honk the horn," I repeated. "Tyler wants the chase, well, I'll give him one. Might as well start making their lives one living hell."
Brooke grinned. "I like you're thinking. Switch me seats, dude, you deserve a front row seat."
She scooted over so I was sitting in the middle between her and Liam.
"I have a better idea than honking," Liam said, and drove through the front door. Literally.
"Oh my god!" I said and started cracking up.
Tristan ran down, and his face turned purple with rage once he saw us.
"HAYLEY!" he screamed.
"Go!" Brooke and I yelled at the same time.
Liam put the car in reverse, and we got the hell out of there. Tristan came out waving a shotgun (where'd he even get that anyway???) and began shooting at the car.
"Holy fricking shit!" Brooke screamed as we drove around the house, avoiding all the bullets.
"Faster!" I said, laughing.
We all cracked up, and Josh came running out. He saw us and started cracking up. "What are you doing?"
We slowed down, and Brooke opened the door.
"Get in!" we all said.
Josh laughed and got in the car. We then proceeded to drive around, avoiding everyone that came after us. It was really fun.
This went on for about an hour. Almost the entire pack were chasing after us, though there were a few people cheering us on. Nobody shifted since there was a possibility they'd get run over, since we weren't exactly paying attention to where we were going. It was really fun.
We finally stopped once Tyler caught up to us and jumped in front of the car.
Liam slammed on the breaks and jerked the wheel to the side, barely missing Tyler.
"Holy shit," Josh said.
"One question," Brooke said. "What were we thinking?"
"Don't ask me," I said. "Liam was the getaway driver."
Tyler came running over and ripped open the door. His eyes were glowing gold and his claws were half extended.
"You're coming with me!" he growled and pulled me out of the car.
I yelped slightly as his claws sank into my skin, and I heard a feral growl as Liam jumped out of the car.
"Don't f*cking touch her!" Liam snarled, dragging me away from Tyler.
