Taeylor, at the time in his life now he was 24 with a beautiful girlfriend and trying to make a difference in his messed up life.
The chaos started at age 7 when his mother and father got a divorce. His mother was just turning 21 and his dad had already been 37. His mother being young wanted to have fun and cheated on his father and in her own words it was liberating. She didn't want to be married in the first place and surely not to him but she had to do what she had to do for her son.
His young heart had been broken because his dad left out the door and never seemed to walk back in it. His young life did a 360 spin all because his mom wanted fun, maybe too much fun. She began to have dudes coming in and out, none really sticking but Taeylor found himself attaching to them because they paid more attention to him than his own mother.
At age 9 he'd met at the least 20 different men and it never went anywhere cause his mom got tired off them. Her name had gotten into around and this had only caused more problems for young Taeylor. He'd already had the "babiest" of faces and was as short as the girls in his fourth grade class while the other boys seemed to tower over him. He was a ladies man because of his smooth brown complexion and perfectly straight teeth with the exception of two on the sides that were missing. He had the most "grown up" teeth in his class and that gave him "playground cred." but even with all the hardwork he put in to make his name mean something he was still ridiculed by the kids because of his mom. He also had long brown, naturally curled hair that looked nice with his soft brown eyes.
One day specifically, it was close to the beginning of the school year and all the kids went outside for recess. The boys in particular went to there lockers and put on outside shoes because their mom's didn't want them playing in there school shoes and messing them up before at least mid-year. Taeylor changed into some new 6-ring Jay's one of his mother's boyfriend bought him and upon giving them to him told him, "make sure you stay fresh for the ladies," and that's exactly what he intended on doing.
Now Ainsley was no ordinary girl, well not to Taeylor at least. Some of the other boys had thought girls had cooties still but not Taeylor and the group of guys he hung out with. They had the mindset somewhat of a 16 year old boy and thought that it was time they'd get them a arm piece and Taeylor's choice was Ainsley.
There was one thing in particular that Taeylor liked about Ainsley. He liked the smile, even with braces he still liked her teeth, and the gleam in her eyes when she saw him, or what he felt like she had when he saw her. She had pretty grey eyes that changed green in the summer. She had honey brown skin and golden brown hair that reached the back of her neck because it was naturally curly.
Taeylor had been talking to his friends as they stood up against the playgrounds gates looking around at people. Taeylor's best friend was Jason. Jason had been his friend since third grade and strangely enough they both bounced from three schools from third to fifth grade and they went to the same schools so they'd grown close by that. Jason tapped Taeylor on the shoulder as Ainsley had walked past them. She was in her usually powder blue shirt and khaki skirts with her hair in a ponytail and three bangles, pink, green, and yellow and silver studded earrings in her ear. She had typical black school shoes and white knee high socks. Taeylor nodded at his friends and walked up to Ainsley even though she'd been talking to her friends.
"Hey third grader," he joked as he playfully shoved her.
"Well dang boy you ain't have to hit me," she attempted to yell with a smile on her face.
"But I wanted to."
One of Ainsley's friends, her best friend still to this day Azalea, came up to her. She looked me up and down and grabbed her arm. "Boys have cooties," she said pulling her away.
"Not?" She says questioningly as if she wanted him to say his name.
"Taeylor," he said with a wide grin showing all his 30 teeth.
"Taeylor doesn't have cooties, he's nice."
"All boys have cooties Ainsley," she said sticking her tongue out at him. She pulled Ainsley away and as she was being pulled she turned around and waved at him.
"See you around Taeylor."
"See ya Ainsley," he said but little did they know, they weren't going to see each other.
When school was over Taeylor's mother came and got him, when he got home he hurried to change out of his school clothes, put his six rings back on and attempted to run out the house but was stopped by a brick wall. He looked up at the 6'4 man that was standing in front of him. This wasn't a familiar face, smell, or sound. He stood back astounded at what he was looking at. The man was like something he hadn't seen before and he didn't like it.
As he stepped beside him the man pushed him back in the house. "Who told you it was okay to leave?"
"My momma always let me leave," his faint voice was even lighter because it was cracking from being scared.
"Well, did I?"
"You ain't my daddy."
"Taeylor don't talk to him like that," his mom came out of nowhere smacking him on the hand.
"But ma!"
"Go upstairs, you in time out! You do NOT speak to grown ups like that. Don't do that again, go think about what you did."
He walked upstairs in disappointment. Instead of going to his room he went to the bathroom and pulled up the window to look out at the front of his house. All his friends were standing across the street playing guns when they noticed Taeylor watching them through the window. They all walked up to the house and started looking up at him.
Jason finally asked, "why you u--" before he could finish his sentence his mother came out of the door and stood in front of the boys.
"Im sorry boys but Taeylor is in trouble, maybe you should speak to your friend about the way he talks to adults. He won't be outside for a week."
"A week!" All his friends yelled and slapped there heads. They really liked playing with Taeylor because he was a really funny kid and he was very creative. He came up with the best games.
"Stupid Taeylor!" Jason yelled looking up at Taeylor. Taeylor hurried up and closed the window and ran to his room to sit in his time out chair, this is where he'd spend a lot of his time now.
