Our tour bus pulled up next to several other buses not as near nice as ours. I, myself didn't want to leave but a majority of us in her had already began packing up their stuff and heading out so I did the same. I tapped the boy that sat in the corner trying to wake him up. After another three taps he was up he didn't say thanks but gave me the evils instead. How rude?
Mike gave each of us our suitcases and bid us goodbye. He looked like he couldn't wait to get out of here himself.
Take me back home!
I pulled out my iPhone sending my mom an message saying that I arrived although I knew she was probably glad that I was gone. I decided that I'd call Logan later on tomorrow. I followed the rest of the kids around the same age as me into what looked like a hall. There wasn't much talking either it was because we didn't know anyone or because everyone was tired. I'd guess it was the latter.
We were standing around waiting for whoever was in charge to come. Being the impatient one that I am, I pulled my suitcase all the way to the back and sat down ignoring the stares other girls were giving.
I sat in a bus for six hours and still I wanted to sit. Yes, I'm lazy and proud of it.
Finally I heard the tapping of a mic several times finally I thought. I offed my iPhone screen and stood to see who was speaking.
"Welcome to CFAR Camp my name is Michael, the coordinator here. I'll keep this short as a formal meeting will be held tomorrow morning." This sounded like high school all over again.
"For now, you will share-"
Pour up (drank), head shot (drank)
Sit down (drank), stand up (drank)
Pass out (drank), wake up (drank)
Everyone turned to look at whoever's phone was going off and it wasn't until the dude, Michael was looking straight at me and at that very moment I realised that it was my phone going off. How could I not realise oh yeah that's right because I'm supposed to be in a bed right now not a bloody hall listening to some old man drown on past midnight.
I got up, once again ignoring the stares since I was at the back the exit wasn't far answering the unknown number.
A worried voice filled the receiver. "Hey sweetie, I just want to check in to see if you were okay I got your text but I just wanted to make sure you were okay." It almost sounded like she cared. Almost.
"Isn't that why I texted but thanks for check-" she didn't even let me finish what I was going to say she always did this and was part of the reason why I don't bother talking to her.
"Make sure you behave, " I snorted knowing this was the real reason she actually called, "I mean it Ella. Hopefully they'll teach you the meaning of respect.." I drowned out her lecturing I mean it was almost one o'clock bloody hell.
"Aye, aye captain." I said in a mockery tone that only seemed to make her even more angrier. Usually I'd get mad but I just want to lie down and read a book. The noise of shoes shuffling across the hall indicated that the meeting was over and my queue to end the conversation only my mother wasn't having it.
"Gabriella, I will not have you tarnish my-"
Here goes the reputation line.
"Just fucking stop with this reputation shit mom, I gotta go, try not to call me too much." I hung up on her, I could do without the lecture tonight.
I placed my phone inside my back pocket and saw that indeed I was right everyone had already left most likely towards their cabins. There was one leader that was packing up some papers so I hurried towards him before he left and I had to sleep in here.
