Chapter 27: Alright, a new plan

Start from the beginning

After a moment, Nezu spoke up and looked towards the couple standing behind me as he said, "Would you two like to explain somethings or should I?"

Aizawa deadpanned, "You can start. We'll cover what you didn't explain."

He started, "Alright then; well, to answer your question: Present Mic and Eraserhead here volunteered to house you. In fact, it was Mr. Aizawa's idea." I look towards Aizawa. He had his head turned so he was looking out the window, acting as if he wasn't paying attention when he actually was. Nezu continued, "I believe that the sooner you move, the better. Now, if you do choose to move, you'd have to do it during a time that works for them since they are your superiors."

I cut him off, "Isn't there something against students and teachers like-" I paused for a moment to think of the right word, "mingling?"

He answered, "Yes there is, but you too are a hero. That means that you can gain the title of 'room mate' essentially since the three of you are heroes." He paused as if he was thinking of what to say next. "Actually, I did some research. Since your name is in the adoption and foster system, they could foster you if they chose to do so. One of them has already fostered a child in the past so their name is already in the system too; but that is for them to decide." He paused again to let it sink in before asking, "Any questions so far?"

'Uhh, yeah, I have questions! How the hell did my name get into the adoption system?! If I was in the adoption record, why wasn't I put in an orphanage? I have so many questions!'

I stuttered, "Y-yeah, n-no, I mean...I do have questions but you wouldn't be able to answer th-them." I turn around to look at Mic and Aizawa to ask, "Are you guys sure? You don't know my past." Then added in a whisper, "Or who I am."

Aizawa spoke, "Yes, we're sure; very sure. But the real question is: Is this something you would be willing to do. You would no longer live alone, but you would be safer. The area of the apartment would be safer than the one you currently live in now."

'He does have a point.'

But you don't need to be bothering people!

'You have a point too.'

Nezu then asked, "Is there anything you two would like to explain?

Mic spoke up, "Y/N, I know from past events that you felt like somethings were your fault. So, I can just imagine that right now you may be thinking that all you'd be doing is being a bother-"

'Shit, how'd he know? Can he read minds?' I thought just as he said that.

"But really, you wouldn't be. The idea that's being proposed is to help protect you-"

'So, I'm a pro hero that needs protecting? I understand I'm still a teen but I can fend for myself.' I started to get pissed off again.

"But don't think of it as us protecting you just cause you're a teen. No, that's not the reason. In fact, I know many pro heroes who live as roommates for each other's protection; sometimes even the cops are the ones to propose the idea." he finally finished.

'Jesus Christ, he must be reading my mind' I thought, getting slightly distracted.

Aizawa added, "I agree with Principal Nezu that you should move as soon as possible, if that is what you chose to do. Just know that you don't need to answer right away, but don't put it off and forget about it"

Well, let's think about this. I would be intruding and I don't want to cause it's just simply rude. I would have to wear long sleeves all the time since I would be living with not only one, but two people who don't know about my mental state. Not to mention that they don't know my history or who I really am. For all they would know is that they think I'm a fellow hero when in reality I could be a murderer. But I wouldn't be alone; which I can get pretty dark at times. I'd also live in a better apartment along with a better, safer area. I wouldn't have to listen to people getting murdered in the street or neighbors overdosing from too many drugs. I'm not that loud so they may forget that I'm there...yes, they could forget about me. They would forget about me and I would be safe at the same time. Perfect!

There was a long pause which allowed everything to sink in and for me to think. After a few minutes of silence I spoke quietly, "Well, I guess that it would be for the best if I did move." I nervously added, "I-I mean, I'll pay my portion of the rent and make supper or breakfast or lunch and clean. I don't want to be a burden for intruding."

"Are you sure?" Nezu spoke, "You can sleep on it if you'd like."

I shook my head no before saying, "I'm sure of it."

Nezu then looked up to the couple and asked, "Now, are you two sure about this? Especially you, Present Mic. Aizawa was the one to volunteer and you got roped into it. So are you fine with it?"

Aizawa pushed himself off the wall and was now standing up right, "Yes, I'm more than positive."

Mic added, "Anything that he chooses I'm more than fine with. I personally like the idea."

Nezu then stood up, walked around his desk, clasped his hands and said with a smile, "Well then, it's decided. Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa will give you information on when you can move." I too stood up at this point. "I hope that you will now be safer than before, but I'm sure that you will."

The couple then walked out of the office and I followed behind them. As we walked down the hall Aizawa spoke up. "When would you be able to move?"

I shrugged my shoulders then answered, "Whenever works for you guys, I guess"

They then looked at each other and gave a little nod before Mic said, "You could start on Friday after school."

"Alright"

Aizawa added just as Mic walked into his classroom since class was about to start, "We'll stop by your apartment as soon as we finish with work on Friday. So, till then start to pack your belongings."

I nodded my head and made my way in first then he followed behind me. The bell rang and class started like normal. When I got home I generated some boxes and started to pack up.
