I woke up to the sun just peeking in through the blinds. I must have passed out bad last night. Getting up, I tidied myself and walked outside. It was about 10:00 and I was glad I didn't wake up any later than that.
The waves were once again clashing against the light brown beach. It was actually fairly loud, but the sun felt nice on my skin. I strolled slowly along the trail, wandering. I didn't really know where to go but maybe I'd run into Kazuichi and we could go do something fun.
From what I've seen he always tends to do something reckless or crazy. Although, his stalker problem on Sonia is starting to really concern me. I seriously wished someone was here right now.
I looked out at the far buildings near me to see a park in the middle. I hadn't been here yet but it seemed like maybe a nice place to sit or eat lunch. It had green trees and some scattered benches, as well as a fountain in the middle. I wondered if anyone had been here, it didn't seem like many people seemed to be up. In fact I hadn't seen anyone all day so far.
I walked a bit deeper into the park to see Mahiru who was taking a few pictures of plants. She seemed content and smiled.
"Wow that's a good one." She said out loud at the picture she had just created.
I walked over slowly and she quickly caught sight of me.
"Oh, hello hajime." She greeted me happily holding up a picture in my face."What do you think? Is it good?" I looked at it and honestly I really was astonished, it was a perfect photo of a tree branch. The light seemed to hit the stem just perfectly, I never realized how good of a photographer she was.
"Wow, that's really good Mahiru." I smiled warmly."What are you doing out here all alone?" She questioned.
"I could say the same for you." I looked around at all the plants in the area, this really was a good spot for photos."Hajime!" I heard Kazuichi scream my name as I continued viewing Mahiru's photos.
"What are you two up too?" Kazuichi smirked at me and my face flushed.
"It wasn't like that at all!" I shouted.
Kazuichi laughed and smirked once again."Your photos are really good Mahiru." I gave them back to her as I waved goodbye.
Now with Kazuichi by my side, we trailed down the island as he went on about something that had happened with Sonia."So she tells me to shut up can you believe that!?" I laugh a little and slightly chance my glance to see that boy sitting quietly on the beach.
Why is he alone?
Since this trip without his little friend group he's been a little too quiet, not considering last night.
I had stopped by accident and felt the light breeze from the waves hitting my face. Kazuichi must have noticed because he had stopped talking about whatever it was he was going on about.
"Hajime?" He asked but the question blew over my head.I felt bad that he was alone. I mean he was just sitting there all by himself. How on earth could I be feeling bad for someone who hates me? I didn't Really know why but I stared for a while until Kazuichi shook my shoulder.
"Are you okay Hajime?" My trance broke as I looked back at Kazuichi.
I realized he had been watching me stare.
"Sorry, I must have spaced out." I shook my head a bit, hoping he would fall for the lie.
"Oh okay, I thought maybe you had died on me or something." He laughed and we continued walking. I looked back though just once, and he was still there by himself staring out at the waves. I felt a strange tension in my chest, though it almost felt like guilt.

The first day at Hope's peak academy I had no friends. I mean at my old school I did but this was so completely new and different. I was standing outside, laying up against a tree and looking around at everyone. Everything was so new and I didn't like it, to be honest I was having bad social anxiety. I watched groups of friends meet up that seemed to have known each other sense forever.I was so out of place, and on top of it I didn't even have an ultimate. I looked around a bit more until a boy also sitting against a tree a bit far from me caught my eye. He seemed nice enough, he had white hair and was strangely bit pale. He looked to be my age and was smiling lightly at the sky.
He was sitting alone, and looked a bit lonely. He watched people pass by just like I was. So I got the courage to wave. He looked up and he smiled brightly waving back. It looked like he was happy to have someone finally notice him. I smiled back and continued to look around at everyone. There were all sorts of people, and of all ages. I looked back at the boy who was now scribbling something in his notebook with a marker.
He held it up and it displayed the phrase:
"friends?"
I opened my bag and pulled out a notebook and marker and answered with the word.
"Sure."
He smiled at the reply and got up gathering his stuff. While doing so, three boys walked up to him and smiled who seemed to be his friends. The interaction was a bit odd but I was exited to potentially have a new friend. They all laughed besides the white haired boy. It confused me but he walked off with them waving back at me with a scared look painted on his pale face. He never came back that day though.I wasn't shocked, maybe I'd see him around school he also might have just forgotten.
Yeah, he just forgot.
Right?
