I stood there standing in fear, thinking about all the times he bothered me still staring back into those pale lifeless green eyes.

They all liked him.
And then it sunk in.
I was in the worse situation.

I stood there frozen and tried to turn around, just to pretend the boy wasn't there but I failed in doing so. He had his arms crossed and was staring at me and everyone.

"Oh, hey Nagito what's up dude?" Kazuichi said behind me cheerfully.

They didn't know I didn't give him an invitation....oh my god Hajime your so dumb.

"Uh, what's going on here?" He tilted his head confused.
I whipped around finally acting as though nothing happened and walked over to Chiaki and Kazuichi.
"Didn't you get the invitation? We invited everyone to this party like a get together on our trip." Chiaki explained.

"Uh, I didn't get an invitation, I heard some commotion as I was walking back to my cottage so I decided to see what was going on." He put his hands to his sides.

"Well that's weird we were all putting invitations in-" Kazuichi was cut off by his own thoughts.
He stared at me for a second and I gave him a sad expression.
"Oh I must of forgot! My bad Nagito you can join us now." He smiled and looked at Chiaki.
"Yeah were glad you showed up." Chiaki smiled lightly.
"Okay." He walked over and sat down at one of the tables. I could feel a presence of awkwardness in the air. I buried my head in my hands avoiding any eye contact I wanted to remember.

The party had been going on for a while and everyone was having fun besides me. I tried, but I just couldn't shake the bad feeling off. Of course I didn't want him here, what did they expect. I sat alone in the corner debating wether to leave. It's not like anyone would notice.

I shifted a bit in my chair removing my hands and setting them on my lap. I watched as Ibuki grabbed mikan into a hug as another song played. Ibuki gave a happy laugh and both of them fell into each other laughing.

If only I had someone like that...

Chiaki was playing video games and was sending fuyuhiko into a full rage. I wasn't shocked, she is a very skilled gamer. I looked up at the soft lights that were strung around the room. All the small stars lit up giving the room a soft feeling.

"You dare defy me!?" Gundham announced as he shoved Kazuichi a bit to the side. Oh god what did he do this time....

"Me! I was just talking to miss sonia!" Sonia was pushing them apart as they argued their way out of the party. I get Kazuichi liked Sonia, but at this point it seemed to be at a stalkerish level. That certain boy was sitting on a table talking to akane who seemed to be stuffing her face full with food.

He looked over at everyone, entertained by Chiaki and fuyuhiko's gaming competition.
He smiled and I shivered.
His dumb smile.
It bothered me so much.
He was so perfect, he had good hair, and that sharp white smile that fit his face so perfectly.

He had his set green eyes that drew you in, just like a trap snapping shut the moment you try and talk to him.

I hated it all.

I became very annoyed and got up to see how Chiaki and Fuyuhiko were doing. I sat down by Chiaki who wouldn't take her eyes off the bright screen.

"Hey, Hajime how are you doing?" She contained pressing buttons on the small controller in front of her.

"How the hell are you so fucking good at this?!" Fuyuhiko raged on the controller, many buttons being pressed at once.
"I'm fine Chiaki, also how are you so good at this?" She laughed a bit and shrugged.
"Practice I guess, I never put it down." I then laughed at Fuyuhiko who was still struggling.
"Oh, like your any good!" He exhaled in anger.
We all brought up a laugh including Fuyuhiko and it made me feel like I might have a purpose with all these people, like maybe what I thought was wrong....

The boy walked over and sat down close by, I looked down at my hands. Pretending to be interested in the conversation to come next.
"How's the game guys?" The boy sat down and questioned.

Anxiety began to fill up my head.
"Really great, do you wanna try Nagito?" Chiaki held up the blue controller motioning for him to come over.

"Oh no, that's okay I'm no good at that anyway I mean especially trash like myself." He gave out a slight laugh and it sent a shiver up my spine.
"Nagito for the last time your not trash" Chiaki scolded him and still held the controller up stretching it out for his hand.

"Actually....I'd like to see Hajime try." I blinked out of my thoughts and looked up. He had that look in his eye he always gave me.
I hated that look.
"Oh no, I don't want to." Replying awkwardly, I looked down and held my arms to my chest.
"Really, I well I thought maybe if you tried things you'd actually find a talent....oh wait you don't have one and you can't ever get one correct?" He smirked a evil grin and I held back my emotions once again.

"Hey Nagito, that's not nice Hajime is good the way he is." She smiled at me and I could tell she was trying to help but it wasn't working out.

"What are you friends with him now?" His tone changed and I wished I wasn't there. All of their expressions tensed.
"Nagito what the hell man." Fuyuhiko glared at him.
"I'm just speaking the truth." He rolled his eyes setting his eye sight on me again. I couldn't take it so I stood up fast.

"I'm gonna go guys I'll see you later."
"Hajime wait maybe-" I caught her off as I got up and walked out of there as fast as I could. I didn't want that boy ruining my time here, and I had just made more friends.

I walked slowly down the walkway to my small cottage. I looked up at the deep bright stars in the sky. I smiled, I wished I was at home with my family looking up at the stars. I missed my small room that had a prefect view of a small lake and with the bridge that lit up at night every night making me feel at peace especially with what was happening at school. I brushed the thoughts out of my mind. The door Held a dark shadow in its frame, I gripped the door handle and opened the door.

Why did I come on this trip?
