I uncovered my hands from my face placing them on the table.
"Okay, it's really okay hajime." Chiaki sat there looking back at me Awkwardly.
It got silent.
It was silent for too long.
"Hey guys we should go do something!" Kazuichi tried to lighten the mood.
"Oh, Okay I guess." I forced a smile and agreed. We all chatted about what we should do.
Then the slump in the corner got up and walked towards us.

Oh god he's walking over.....

Instead he walked past us leaving down the stairs in a swift motion.

That was weird, why was he all alone?

"Hey hajime...are you there?" Chiaki waved in my face and my trance was broken.
"Oh, uh yeah I'm here." I laughed a bit.
"So I think maybe we should all have a gaming competition." Chiaki lit up and pulled out her gaming system ready to talk about the game she had been nailing down for days.
"Woah woah woah... no we really should be going out and having a party, you know invite everyone." Kazuichi smiled and his smile grew brighter almost a bit creepy.

"Oooo and maybe miss Sonia will be there." Kazuichi's face was still a little to excited when Chiaki interrupted.
"Um I really don't think Sonia wants anything to do with you Kazuichi." She uncomfortably shifted. His entire happy face crumpled and he slouched in his chair.
"Uhhh why can't she just like me..." he frowned a bit. Me and Chiaki let out a few laughs.

"I actually think a party sounds like a good idea, as long as we can play video games." Chiaki smiled and looked towards me motioning towards the stairs and mouthed "don't worry." I'm glad she's looking out for me.

We all walked out of the restaurant with the invitations we sat down to create just 15 minutes before.
"This is gonna be awesome!" Kazuichi yelled jumping a bit.
"Yeah, I can't wait to beat everyone at video games!" Chiaki and Kazuichi were happy, but the truth is that I really wasn't...I didn't want to see that boy there.

"I'm not happy..." I whispered it quietly so they couldn't hear, but it was the truth.
Teru Teru ran up to us.
"Hey everyone sorry I was still cleaning the dishes up a bit." He smiled rubbing the back of his neck.
"No problem little dude." Kazuichi said.
I handed some invitations to Teru Teru who was also going to help us distribute them.

"So how about everyone goes to..." Chiaki's words trailed off and far away from my thoughts as we rounded the corner and that boy was there.
He is always here.

I don't understand, if he has so many friends and is so cool why is he suddenly alone. To top it off he always shows up when I am actually having a good time. I felt a bit of anger rush through me but exhaled to try and calm myself.

I really hoped that Chiaki, Kazuichi, and Teru Teru didn't notice. We walked past the tall figure as he made eye contact with me again, his eyes were slits like they always seemed to be and he walked off angrily.

Why does he hate me so much?

I pushed the feeling away trying to be happy with my friends. I turned back to our direction to put all the invitations into everyone's mail box. I walked to each one and put the small white envelope into it. I kept walking until I caught glimpse of the boy's mail box. But I just kept on walking he didn't need to show up, I didn't want him there. He didn't need to ruin a get together.

After a few hours, we decided to go down to the beach and sit before the party. Chiaki was sitting on the sand on her video game trying to nail another level. Kazuichi and Teru Teru were chatting about girls like they usually seemed to do. I looked up at the pink tinted sky, some stars were shining through the bit of clouds touching the blue canvas. The waves were crawling up the beach giving off a nice breeze.

It was a peaceful place to be, and I was so glad to be sharing it with friends.
"Why don't you like Nagito hajime?" Chiaki said it so fast it caught me off guard.
I looked at her, she had her game turned off, sitting criss cross.
"Uh, what...I mean-" she cut me off as I tried to explain, awkwardly crossing my arms.

Why did I always do that when he's brought up?

"I know, you know I know that right?" She frowned sadly and looked away.
"I know he's been bothering you pretty bad for a long time..." she looked up at the starry sky now. I picked up some sand, throwing it towards the big blue waves.

"So what, it's not like it matters. No one has cared long enough to do anything about it." I held back all the bad thoughts I didn't want water spilling down my face again, especially with everyone sitting by me.

"I'm sorry about earlier, I just wanted you guys to maybe make emends." She smiled slightly. I could see where she was coming from but it didn't help the situation. He hated me that's just how it was, I do wish things were different though.

"Well maybe I'll try I'm not sure.." I lied to her. It was bad but saying the truth would just make her sad.
"That's good." She laid back on the sand looking over at Kazuichi and Teru Teru who gave her some strange stares. I cringed a bit and wished they wouldn't look at our friend like that.
"We should really get going now." I noticed more stars were peeking out from behind the clouds.

"Yeah, come on guys." I got up and brushed sand off of me bringing back a memory from when I first got here.
We all walked up the path way to the restaurant were we hoped everyone would be there. I knew the boy wouldn't be there, he'd be left out just like he always did to me. We walked up the flight of stairs making jokes on the way up.

To our surprise everyone seemed to have showed up. Ibuki was in the corner talking to the purple haired mikan.
Mahiru was poking Hiyoko, while gundham and Sonia seemed to be flirting slightly.
"Ugh of course he's with her." Kazuichi walked over interrupting their conversation.

Nekomaru and Akane were eating some food somehow before everyone else, while Teru Teru rushed into the kitchen to start on good food for the party. Fuyuhiko sat down alone staring over at the enthusiastic Kazuichi.

Peko sat down next to him poking him on the shoulder and his trance dropped.
Everyone was here but him.
And I was actually happy. I turned around to go help Teru Teru when I saw him.

How did he know...?

He walked slowly, almost weakly up the flight of stairs I had just went up a couple minutes ago. He stared at me with anger still seeping out of his eyes. He approached me and I stood in fear not moving. He stood there arms crossed staring at me.

I felt his eyes staring to deeply.

What would he do now?
