We stare at Georgie's corpse. Wishing that all of this was a dream. My knee shakes uncontrollably and I feel as though I can't breathe. I glance behind me seeing if the losers had the same reaction as me. Georgie's corpse shakes viciously as odd noises come out of his mouth. His missing arms seems to be slowly growing back. Bill and I take a step back the losers right behind us. I shake my head not believing what I'm seeing. My heart races as I mentally tell myself to calm down.
Georgie began to grow within size. The shaking of the boy instantly stopping before taking the form of the clown. Screams from the losers commanded Bill to do something, Bill reached for the bolt gun he had before.
"KILL IT!" Everyone screamed.
Bill aimed it at the terrifying clown. I knew something was wrong when the clown did nothing but stare at the gun in between his eyes. A sudden click from the gun made Bill and I look to each other with a worried expression, knowing full well that the gun hadn't been loaded. It laughed mischievously, quickly beginning to run towards us.
Everyone began screaming for us to get back. Pennywise had thrown me to the side, grabbing Bill from my grasp. I forcefully hit the wall behind me. Bill trying to fight back against the clown.
"Beth!" Beverly's voice calls out to me.
I struggle to get up as Beverly throws me a spike from the fence. I try to swing at the clown but it throws the rod aside. It now fixated on me it charges at me. Mike suddenly swings at the clown only to be thrown into the wall. Bill had come up from behind, getting a hold on his back as he forced a pole into its mouth.
With Richie now trying to get ahold of the clown, I had tightened my grasp on the metal spike, taking a hit against its head. With a sudden move, Richie is thrown into the wall. The clown snatches Bill and me as he has a tight grip around our necks. I struggle to try to get its vicious hold around my neck loose.
"No, don't, let them go," Beverly says.
"No, I'll take them, I'll take all of you. And I'll feast on your flesh as I feast on your fear. Or you just leave us be. I'll take them, and only them. And then I will have my long rest and you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives. Until old age takes you back to the weeds." The clown offers.
"L-l-leave...I'm the one who dragged you all into this. I'm so s-s-sorry." Bill tells them.
Tears cascade down my cheek as I realize that this is how I'm going to die. It's Bill and me versus Beverly, Eddie, Richie, ben, mike, Stanley. We dragged them into this I wouldn't want them to die to save us.
"G-g-go." I choke up.
"Guys, we can't," Beverly says.
"I told you guys, I fucking told you. I don't want to die. You punched me in the face, you made me walk through shitty water, you brought me to a fucking crackhead house, and now I'm going to have to kill this fucking clown." Richie grabs a bat from the pile of junk.
It lets go of Bill and I. I gasp for air as I'm finally able to breathe again. Raising the bat Richie charged at the clown.
"Welcome to the losers club, asshole." Richie swung the bat hitting the clown.
Mike had raced over to Pennywise, ready to plunge his spike into him. Opening its widened mouth, hands that had doubled onto each other reached for the spike, grabbing it and leaving Mike defenseless. Stan had let out an eerie cry, ready to defend the boy. With its head, the clown began to form into Stan's worst nightmare.
A woman with a crooked face had ran towards Stan, the women's sharp teeth edging towards him. With a loud cry, he hit it with his sharp weapon. Ben had caught the attention of the clown as he plunged his spike inside the back Pennywise. Ben had tried pulling the rod out. Only to be met with the face of a bandaged mummy. Beverly grabbed Ben's free hand as Richie repeatedly beat the clown. awith another swing to the head by Richie's bat, Pennywise had turned towards Eddie.
With a disgusting look forming on his face, it had enlarged his mouth, spitting out a black-darkened substance. Eddie had quickly closed his eyes, nearly shaking in disgust as he wiped away its content.
Bill picked up a chain from the ground and used it like a whip, repeatedly hitting the clown. Dropping to its knees, Beverly's dad had stared up at her, cold eyes staring deep within hers.
"Hey, Bev, are you still my little girl?" He asks.
Beverly grabbed a rob, sticking it down the throat of the deranged clown. Its face slowly turned back into the clowns. It slowly crawled towards the well, latching onto the edge as it whimpered in fear.
"That's why you didn't kill Beverly. S-s-s-she wasn't afraid and neither a-a-are we. Now you're the one whos afraid...Because you're going to starve." Bill states.
Slowly it began to crack, slowly thinning into the air as its eyes stay glued to ours. I dropped the spike to the ground.
"Fear," it says before falling into the dark abyss.
"Well, I guess I know what I'm writing about for my summer experience essay," Richie joked.
"Look, guys," Eddie pointed out, everyone looking upwards towards the kids that slowly descended down. "The kids they're floating down."
I turn around, I'd noticed that Bill hadn't been where he stood before. I frantically look around, I stop in my tracks when I noticed the boy ahead. With all eyes now to Bill, my heart had felt heavy once I realized where he sat. Sniffling was heard from him, Georgie's jacket in his hands. Making my way towards him, I slowly bent onto my knees, taking his hand in mine.
He pushed his head onto the side of my should, my arms instantly latching onto him as I engulfed him into a side hug. Slowly, everyone had joined us, hugging and comforting the now crying boy.
