Chapter 7

I stared in disbelief at the gorgeous guy who stood in front of me. That dirty blond hair, that was cut short and spiky, and those glittering sea blue eyes that crinkled around the edges as he smiled.

It couldn't be, could it? He left... 6 years ago!

"Lana, is that you?" he queried.

I nodded, gulping. How could he recognise me? I looked nothing like I used to.

His face light up as the world's biggest smile grew on his handsome face. He fist pumped the air.

"YES! I knew it was you, I knew it!"

People in the corridors were giving us weird looks, but he didn't seem to mind. I, on the other hand, did, and blushed, and bowed my head, whilst he continued doing his little victory dance.

I couldn't believe how much I had missed him. It was like I had a part of me missing, and now I was whole again. As cheesy as that sounds, it summed up the situation perfectly.

I couldn't help but smile at him, he looked so ridiculous, whilst he was dancing round in little circles in the middle of the corridor, looking like he won the lottery.

I stood there for what seemed like ages before I became so embarrassed with all the looks that people were giving us. As I said, I didn't like attention. I nudged him in the side, and he stopped; he faced me and gave me a grin. I couldn't help but smile back, he was too damn irresistible.

I jerked my head in the direction of the cafeteria, as a signal that I wanted to go there. He looked slightlyperplexed but nodded anyway.

We walked in a comfortable silence to the cafeteria, but when we got there and found an empty table, he faced me with a serious face. This can't be good.

"Care to explain?" he stated. What the heck is that supposed to mean? I gave him a confused look, urging him to give more away. Explain what?

"Why won't you talk?"

I knew it would come down to this. It always done. I blinked hard trying not to cry. I wasn't sure why I was crying, but I had cried a lot recentely.

"Jeez, Lana! Don't cry I didn't mean to upset you!" the look on his face was really sweet. He was really worried about me. "I just wanted to know, 'cause someone must have done something. This just isn't you!"

Dang! I hate it when he's right.

I glanced around the busy cafeteria, and decided not to risk it. If someone saw me talking to him, who knows what rumours they would spread. Instead, I pulled out my LG Viewty Lite and sent him a text. It read: 'Can't explain now. Can I come to urs later? Where is it? Promise will tell you xoxo'

I clicked send, and waited. I looked up and found him staring at me intently. He was so focused on staring at me, actually, that he leapt when his phone vibrated in his pocket. I giggled at his stupidity, and he shot me a dirty look, before cracking a smile himself.

He read the message and frowned slightly. "Yeah, sure. I will give you the address later. Which lessons do you have next?"

Good to know that he hadn't changed. He still didn't press points he thought people wouldn't like to talk about. One of the reason I liked him.
