I made my way into Ben's room, my eyes instantly darting to the printed picture hung against his wall. Papers were lined of black and white photos, varying from missing kids poster to old printed posters
I walked over to the crowded wall, eyes skimming the bone-chilling papers as I lined my fingers against them. Bill seemed to find his way to my side, look forward to the pictures I stared at. Richie let out a small chuckle, everyone finding a spot as to where to look first.
"Cool, Huh?" Ben states, almost proud of his creepy pictures scattered in his room.
"No, not at all. Nothing cool about this." Richie says pushing his glasses up.
"What's that?" Stanley asked to a paper with scribbled names on it.
"Oh, that?" Ben walks over to where Stanley is. "That's the charter for Derry Township. Found it one of the books in the library."
"Nerd alert," Richie scoffed
"Actually, It's quite interesting. Before, derry had started as a beaver trapping camp." Ben explains.
"Still is, am I right, boys?" Richie raises his hand for a high five.
Stanley pulls Richie's hand down as I roll my eyes.
"Ninety-one people had signed the charter that made Derry. But later that winter, they all disappeared without a trace." Ben continued.
"The entire camp?" Stanley questions.
"There were rumors of Indians, but no sign of an attack. Everyone just assumed that it was a plague or something. It's like everybody had just woke up and left. The only clue that'd been left was a trail of bloody clothing leading to the well-house." Ben explains.
"Where was the well-house?" Bill asks.
"I don't know, Somewhere in town I guess, Why?" Ben questions.
"Nothing..." Bill responds.
The losers and I all leave Ben's house. Bill and I walk together with our bikes next to us as we walk.
After a long while of silence, we finally get to my house. I start walking up to my driveway but I suddenly fall. Bill catch's me as our bikes fall to the ground. He pulls me up and our lips are inches away from each other. My heart beats faster and faster as I stare into Bill's dark green eyes. I slowly put my arms around his neck. Bill's white face coming closer and closer to mine until our lips were almost touching. Bill's lips touched mine softly.
The small peck on the lips lasted as long as he went for it. Yet, although it was small, and least to say quick, it was gentle and sweet nothing seemed too rushed or harsh at the touch. Nothing was able to stop the reddening of my cheeks. I pull away suddenly Bill and I looking away awkwardly.
"I-I-I-I-I g-g-got t-t-t-to g-g-g-go..." I stutter.
"Y-y-yeah..." He mutters pulling away.
I try not to make eye contact but I can't help but look at him.
"I'll s-s-see you l-l-l-later," I mumble fidgeting with my bracelet on my wrist.
I walk up to my house not looking back knowing Bill is looking. I slightly touch my lips reimagining the way Bill's lips felt against mine.
I lay in my bed not being able to go to sleep. I'm still thinking about the way Bill's soft lips felt on mine. Suddenly, I hear a crash, not knowing where it came from. I tiptoe out of my room and into the hallway with many rooms. I see that Julia's bedroom door is open. Even since her disappearance, her door has remained closed. I slowly inch my way towards her room. I jump as the floorboard beneath me creaks.
