o.1 : psds on photos

If you have Photoshop you probably know how to do this. If you're new to Photoshop this is a great place to start. Today the psd i'll be using is "tired hero" by Zeynepthegreat on deviantart

There's two ways to do this, to me one is a bit more practical than the other but it really depends on what you prefer. 

here's our example photo.

METHOD 1: open your file in photoshop. From the top line where it displays all the things you have open drag down your psd. This will open up a new window on the photo. if the psd has an example photo like this one does you can make it not visible before you add it to the other one, it's not a must but it's a force of habit for me.

STEP 2 : then you drag the psd on top of the photo. close out the window and you're done!

METHOD 2: This is the method I personally prefer when adding psds to gifs & photos.
open your psd and go to the layers menu

see the second option "duplicate group" ? Click that. A small window will come up asking where you want it to go. Pick your photo's file name and go to it's window. The psd will automatically go on top of your photo, all you need to do now is export it.

To export go to the file drop down menu and click save OR save as. I don't really think it matters which you choose, I'm sure a photoshop savant will explain the difference or why you choose one or the other but to me they both work the same just make sure you save it as a JPEG , PNG, anything but a PSD.
