Small note: each chapter will only be a page long. And I will attempt to upload every week
The 2 sides of the spectrum. Now meet.
Now at a brand new school, it only seemed like minutes since I started high school and now this... college.
I anxiously stumble up to the main reception only to notice the wild noisy crowd of people in front of it, I looked for their point of interest and noticed the long tall signs with subjects like maths or art written onto them. Immediately I rushed to find the science sign.
Only a couple of minutes passed and I found the long awaited sign with a not too older looking guy holding it. Obviously I didn’t speak a word. I just stood there eavesdropping, not the best thing to do but it kept me busy. I honestly hoped for a hot guy to come into our group but also expectedly they went to P.E., I was stupid thinking I would find such a hottie. Hopelessly standing there I looked over my shoulder to see a not to bad looking guy. But I couldn't hold myself from staring at him, there was something about him... those eyes, bright grey with a tinge of green. I tried my hardest to stop staring but my instincts told me different. There was an oddly friendly vibe coming from him. “come on!” the guy holding the sign said, as he desperately walked away into the building, I was obliged to follow.
I was staggered by his voice and, soon after I found myself to be in a science class with only... 14 people, I expected there to be more. The less the better I thought to myself. There isn’t much more to say about that day, just normal and casual with not much going on.
The very next day, I made a move at the cafeteria table, it was only 1pm and quite calm. The boy was just sitting there on his phone, I immediately noticed that he was on Instagram. But I could tell he didn’t know anyone around so I focused and yet with a little courage I took the slim chance to make a conversation with him. I began with, “I heard back in class you were abroad, where did you go?”. Back in class, we did a pop quiz but it was focused so that we would get to know each other. As I expected earlier, he kindly responded “from Poland”, I began to feel relieved as I could sense that he would be glad to here that I am too and so I follow with some polish language and his face lights up with relief. He did not expect me to be polish and yet he is quite glad. We had a small conversation about hobbies, he designs his own clothes, I wish I had some sort of cool hobby as that. We also spoke about what we do in spare time, and he didn't have much to say as he was only on social media and the typical teenage boy things. I began to run out of things to say so I asked about the school, he told me that he expected more fights and things going on, but he was glad it wasn't the case and before we knew it the time flew past within a blink of an eye.
At first I felt bad for him, he was not being able to navigate around the school very well and kept getting lost and he didn't have no one to talk to. Besides I was the exact same (but I could tell where to go). It wasn’t long after that, that we became friends or at least mates, but nothing more. And this day ends here, with nothing more than the bus picking me up and taking me away home.
